I have been riding this bike for long 6 years everyday 8 to 10 km apache 160 sound is connected with my heart. Best Indian sports bike for a reason maintenance is bit higher but performance is superb on any road I would suggest this beast to everyone 0 to 60 sec in 4 sec short pickup faster then cheetah.

Comfortable riding. Looks too attractive and good performance. Fine and awesome bike with better mileage. I use it daily for 100 km. Awesome muffler sound, smooth ride feel, good high end pick up, excellent for both short and long rides. Great bike. Not recommend for the beginners like me.

The bike is good on first ride, then the condition gets worse. I am really impressed with the first ride.Pros:* good looking.* awesome sound.* standard mileage for 160cc bike.* good starting pickup.* good stability in wind.* tvs servicing cost is little bit cheap compared to other companies like honda, yamaha.....* suspension is soft compared to yamaha fz, pulsar 150, 180.* braking is good while front comes with abs.* tank is large but fuel cap is unreasonable.(check it if it closed or not by smelling it)* seating is comfortable Cons:* first is vibration, you feel your hands and legs vibrating when you reach 80-100.* if you missed any service the bike will trouble you.* front forks are not good it will easily bent if you ride in bad road condition.* you will feel the pain in your wrist and neck if you are a long rider.* chain easily gets loosen periodical maintenance is required.* rear braking is not good.* the colour of the head position gets faded.That's all.Advise:Maintain your bike regularly.Keep the chain clean and lubricated.(avoid chain spray)Lubricate the gear and brake lever every week. Don't let others ride your bike.Gears are short not like other bikes. Frequent shifting is needed like ktm duke and rc Thanks ...

Performance : excellent quick response bike. 4. Servicing and maintenance :: no extra charge for maintenance till now remember one thing you use only tvs fully synthetic oil 10-30w 5.Pros: bike acceleration,pickup,mileage-35-40 (do not expect more than 40)6. I was searching for good bike under 1 lakh and after searching on internet i decided to buy apache rtr 160. Buying experience was good, i bought it on 26th nov 2016 for 87000 rs.

2.Riding experience

Riding experience is good, pick up is very good according to rtr(rapid throttle response). Tyres are bit slippery in rain.

3. The new version looks very good with hyper edge. I have seen people saying that they are getting 40 and 50kmpl mileage. To be honest it never gave me more than 40kmpl. In city i am getting mileage of 30-33 kmpl and on highway 35-40kmpl.

The top speed that i got is 123km/h.

4.Servicing and maintenance

The service cost is 400-600 rs. It will cost more than 600 if there is any damage in part or you asked them to put a new one.

Maintenance is good. Chain oil is needed after 500km riding. If you do not put the chain oil, it creates a sound.

5-pros and cons.

Pros-good pick up, good top speed, good looks and heavy engine.

Cons- mileage is not good. Slippery tyres

Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox smoothly engine on high speed and smoothly gear.

Ride quality & handling both are good.

Final words i love this bike, no ladies leg stand on left side of the seat, all is good. Mileage 52kmpl on local road in 50 to 60kmh speed (include traffic jam). 45Kmpl on highway roads with speed 120kmh. Max speed 120 to 125kmh only.

vibration on 1st to 5th services

I am a highway engineer using the bike for at least 150km per day. I ride my Apache RTR 160 from 2017. I crossed 125,000 km on this bike. Friendly engine for rough and tough usage. Sporty riding style makes a more attractive look for the riders. I learned stunts with this bike. Pick up is like 'ANGRY TIGER'. Its shape resembles the TVS emblem.

Compact good looking bike , but the fibre used around speedo console & side panel gives the feel of a bit cheaper quality. Pick up is awesome, a boon to drive in city traffic , how ever it starts to vibrate a lot around a speed range of 45-65 kmph , after that >65kmph feels comparatively smoother(though still vibration exists).. Due to shorter wheel base manoeuvrability in city is awesome but feels bit unstable at speeds around 100kmph.. Mileage is around 45kmpl in city & around 52-55kmpl in highways @ speeds.

Apache rtr the name itself has a craze among Indian consumers there is a great picture of this bike that is sketchy in our mind here in this review I am gonna tell my 1 year of happiness but still a few cons of experience with this bike. So firstly let me tell you the pros of this bike, in this bike, there is a great stylish and well-polished body with a fine engine and great looks with a very nice driving experience. So what's the problem see my height is around 5 feet 8 inches, I think that every Indian is this kind of height so you can't feel much pain in the back but for tall drivers, it may feel very painful because of my friend he is of 6 feet and 2 inches he is feeling some difficulties after a ride. Rather than that, I haven't found any cons till now. Yes after service each and every problem-related engine or anything else got fixed. I have done 4 services yet and those all are just mind-blowing. So if you are a good rider and if this is your 2nd bike then go for it. But if you want to buy this bike as a primary so in my opinion don't go for it. But if you want to buy it as your primary bike so you should have riding skills and also a good muscular body because it's a little bit heavy also and most important take a test ride. The rest of each and every segment like brakes, lights, buttons, lever quality, engine, seat comfort, suspension, and material durability is just fabulous and fantastic.
