    The overall quality "sucks"

    a) instrument cluster does not work properly (replace 4 times during warranty) even then its not working so living with it

    b) fuel gauge is not working accurately, right now i have replaced it with pulsar 220f's fuel gauge which is apparently working just fine

    c) oil leaks on either side of the engine

    d) gear shifts are hard

    c) the idle is very low sometimes when it is going to off state, the gears make a rattling noise which is heard at least 300m.

    D) service is pathetic so i rely on local mechanic which he does a decent job

after a month after 1st servicing bike broke down don't know how then after 2 months while normal riding silencer came off from on going bike, same after 3-4 months left rear shock absorber came off, after 9-10 months later while i took my bike for servicing the mechanic told there is some problem in engine I don't know what the hell is wrong with royal Enfield now 3.5 years later again i took my bike for servicing and the mechanic told me there is a serious issue in bikes engine and if i choose to repair it would cost around 20-30k, i said just do normal servicing, after that servicing 2 months later bike broke down and i sent it to servicing centre and i was informed that they will have to change wiring of whole bike and it will cost around 4-5k and i agreed and on another they made bill of 17k. i hardly took my bike 60km away from my house not more than that and so many incidents happened to me, so I'm here now decided to sell the bike and booked jawa 42, curse you royal Enfield.

First of all its price is about 1.65 lakhs and also better for the price. Comfort riding position and the handle bar in such a manner helps you to control it easily. Somehow it is heavier as compared to re classic 350 and other 350 's. Talking about performance , the 346 cc air cooled engine produces 19.4 bhp and the power will meet your requirements! it simply crosses 100 kmph without any trouble and with great stability. The braking system is also nice which helps you to control your bike in high speeds. Overall the looks are good and the projector headlamp focuses better as compared to normal bulbs. The chrome part and tail lamp catches everyone's eyes ! maintenance costs are higher than other re 350's. Changing of oil seals , chains and sprockets etc costs more. Sound changes as the engine gets over heated during long rides. The pillion seats are short that he/she(pillion) could suffer back pains during long rides. The 20 ltr fuel tank is very much helpful for people who go for long rides.

Apply chain lubes only after cleaning the chain and sprocket, this can increase it's life. Turn off the engine for some time when it gets over heated. Install a crash guard. Wipe the chrome parts with a clean cloth after riding in rain to avoid rusting. Use genuine parts. Change brake pads in correct intervals to avoid scratching on disc plate.

    Hi guys,

One of my friend recently bought rayal enfield thunderbird 350 in April-2017 from teknik motorcycles ibblur village bangalore but from the purchase date it is getting some problem. It is getting off automatically and not getting start. He contacted to dealer but they are repairing that but after some time same problem has occurred. Again we have given to dealer but they said problem is solved but its not done. They are not giving any confirmation that problem will not be occurred. Even the person who was at delivery time he left the job. They are not ready to replace it i guess we have to go to consumer court for right justice. Owner is supporting here he is saying that they will pick vehicle if stopped anywhere. I think its not solution. We went to showroom and service centre several time within 4 months but problem is not solved.

Love the bike. Has its fair share of problems. Do i regret buying this bike? not even a bit.

    Pros

    -extremely comfortable.

-adequate power(the streets are not meant for racing).

    -has good road presence.

-sounds amazing(recommend you not to change the silencer as it will become irritating as years pass).

-got a fuel gauge and rev meter(unlike the classic which is missing both).

-the backseat is the best place to be in.

-the bike is modifiable you can get custom lights, handlebars, leg guards, seats and you name it you can unrecognisable.

-the bikes got a character, no 2 royal enfield will feel the same (as i said you can change the bike to something totally different).

-is not made out of plastic.

    Cons

-the 350cc engine with a 5 speed gearbox could have got taller ratios or a 6th gear.

-vibrations take a toll after the 100 mark.

-needs constant repairs and care taking.

-always lived with a fear of something going wrong(whenever on a tour).

-the gearbox is so heavy everyone on the street will know you are changing gear.

    -heavy(190kgs).

-this has read disks and no tubeless tyres that becomes a problem as they have to remove the disk then the whole tyres to fix a simple puncher.

-fuel economy is not what one would call great.

-you cannot corner confidently like a sports bike(you will scrape off the foot rests which are dead expensive)

Would i recommend this bike for everyone definitely no. Depends on what type of bike you want. You want something fast like a duke but don't want to buy duke do not buy for royal enfields and be disappointed . You love cursing for 300-400 kms you are looking at your new new bike.

I have driven thunderbird 350 for almost 54000 km within a span of 5 years. Pros: 1) good n comfortable seat.2) gives me average of 35-40 km/ltr3) never feel tired while going for long rides.4) better front suspension.5) never thought of changing a handle bar.6) good headlight and taillight 7) bike is stable and brakes are also working pretty well.8) its eye catching too. ;)Cones:1) worst meter provided. Petrol indicator started giving problem right since the beginning. Set and select buttons have stopped working a year ago. Problem with side stand indicator too.2) clutch is very hard.3) company fitted mrf tyres are not good. Got punctured so many times, hence changed to tvs.4) cost of parts are so expensive such as chain sprocket, battery, front folks, brake pads, brake disc etc 5) fuse gets blown frequently due to wire touching frame, metal or each other.6) maintenance cost is high about 2500-3000 rs every six month.7) does not have a good pick up.8) oil leakage is a problem for all re bikes.9) once u cross speed 70 kmph, you would feel more vibration on the handlebar. And if you want to own any re bikes, you have to be a good mechanic as well. ;)

And if you want to own any re bikes, you have to be a good mechanic as well. ;)

-is not made out of plastic.

    Cons

-the 350cc engine with a 5 speed gearbox could have got taller ratios or a 6th gear.

I bought this bike in January 2017 and since then i am getting terrible experience with this bike. Re is looting people, they force you to service you bike every 3 months till your bike completes 2 years to avail warranty and will change almost every spare part of your bike to make money. On every service they force you to change oil filter, air filter, oil even if your bike has not covered their recommended kilometre.

In 1 year / 6000kms only i have changed 5-air filters, 5-oil filters, 1-clutch cable, 3- rubbers, 2-times wheel balancing. Above parts that are replaced here are chargeable and doesn't comes under warranty.

As i have mentioned earlier, on every service they say that if you don't change these recommended parts you might face issues in the middle of your journey.

I don't know why i need to change several parts only in 1 year/6000 kms.

Now i am facing a new weird problem with my bike, after running for around 12-13kms bike starts missing and suddenly stops in the middle. It seems carburetor is not supplying adequate fuel to engine and this is because vacuum is created inside the tank fuel (this is a known issue, you can google it for this missing issue in re and you will get several links and still re don't have the solution yet)

As a solution the service centre guys dig a hole on the fuel cap rubber to pass the vacuum (silly solution from re) or now forcing me to change fuel cap and this will not cover under warranty. (costing around rs. 3000)

I have lost my trust in re and now choice is yours whether you go for re bikes or not.

    Thanks

    Thanks

Awesome bike...Comfortable and obedient... Sound make you crazy.. Projector headlight with great experience.... Digital with analog meter, double indicator switch ... Throttle experience is much better then other.. Road grip very smooth... X version is better but the normal one is also the king of the road..

Buying experience was not so good the sales person does not give attention 0% professionalism riding experience in good but you cant depend on the reliability of the parts look and comfort level is great. Maintenance and after sale service is very very worst horrible service centre guys are not there to help you they are there to loot you be it at any service centre i have been to many service centre but same response . Good seating posture for long ride good for weekly ride, excellent fuel capacity, very poor reliability for parts

And if you want to own any re bikes, you have to be a good mechanic as well. ;)
