The 2023 FZ-X continues to feature a neo-retro design that is inspired by the Yamaha XSR motorcycles. It shares its chassis and base components with the FZ FI range. The new Yamaha FZ-X in one variant that is available in three colours – Matte Copper, Matte Black, and a new Navy Blue colour with golden wheels.
The styling cues include a round headlight at the front, a tall-set handlebar, an engine cowl, a step-up seat with a tuck and roll pattern for the cover, and a basic grab rail at the back. The motorcycle gets rugged dual-purpose tyres and fork gaiters that enhance the overall styling. The seat height is rated at 810mm while the kerb weight stands at 139kg. The feature list comprises an LED headlight with LED DRL, an LCD instrument cluster, a USB charger, and a sleek LED taillight at the back. The 2023 model also features LED indicators. Its safety net includes single-channel ABS and a side-stand engine cut-off function. It also gets a traction control system like the FZ-S and R15 V4.
The Bluetooth-enabled version works with Yamaha Y-Connect smartphone application and the display offers information about calls, SMS and email notifications, and phone battery level. The smartphone application, on the other hand, records details about fuel consumption, maintenance recommendation, last parked location, malfunction notification, rev dashboard, and ranking (for distance travelled and fuel economy).
The FZ-X shares its 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with the FZ FI range. Linked to a five-speed gearbox, the motor produces 12.2bhp of power at 7,250rpm and 13.3Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. The hardware comprises 41mm telescopic front forks, a seven-step preload-adjustable rear mono-shock, disc brakes on both wheels, and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Good bike with under powered engine

Bought it from I Yamaha KR Puram Bangalore and it was a pleasant, quick buying experience. My initial riding experience was so bad and at one point I thought to replace it with better expensive alternates. The bike pick-up was so bad compared to my previous FZS 2013 version. Compared to my old bike FZX has an excellent riding posture that doesn't affect my long-ride plans and that one thing stopped me from trying this bike further.Post second servicing my riding experience has improved a lot, except for the pickup part. I have added a saddle box that can hold up to 15kg and the bike was handling the changes very well. Though the projector lamp is a good feature, still I had to add fog lights with a good throw.By the end of six months, I had covered around 8.5KM on this bike which covers highways, Ghat roads, and dirt roads, and the bike is easy to handle on all of them. Not a good choice for any kind of off-road due to the very low-powered engine.TCS and single ABS are providing a good handling compared to my old bike, breaking at high speeds is still manageable. once the bike exceeds 90 or 95 the bike vibrates badly and riding would be uncomfortable.

With periodical service and regular chain oil application for every 500 km in long drives should be fine.

1. Irrespective of price point it is a very good bike and the behaviour of the staff at the showroom is also very decent and cooperative. If you buy it for daily commuting you will not be disappointed2. The bike is a little bit high with a seat height of 810 mm but believe me it feels like 830+ due to its wide seat it will be difficult for short riders to flat foot on the ground. But its ground clearance is not good it touches high bumps if you are riding with a healthy pillion. It is very easy to ride in the city and on highways also. Its wide tires give you extra confidence while cornering but it doesn't provide ABS in the rear disc brake so if you push it hard the rear wheel skids but it is manageable. Next, the turning radius of the bike is not so good. You need a large space to take a complete U-turn. The engine is butter smooth and there is zero vibration up to 80. It provides Bluetooth connectivity but it must be improved as it can't automatically connect with the mobile a maximum number of times. 3. Looks are subjective but looks like a bigger cc bike and its muscular looks often attract people's attention4. maintenance cost is affordable but the price of parts is a little bit higher side5. conclusionPros-@ Looks big.@ easy to ride and handle in traffic.@ zero vibration.@ good mileage around 50.@ projector, headlamp is very good at night.Cons-@ not for short riders <5.6@ not good ground clearance@ feels lack of power while overtaking

Perfect bike for city and long rides
Jitendra
Writing my review after 2.5 years of riding this wonderful bike. Very comfortable for city and highway rides. I have travelled to mountains with this bike and plains covering thousands of km. I never encountered any challenges.Mileage (50+km/l)is perfect in this segment. Faced a problem with the fuel injector once which got replaced under warranty. The only cons I see is Gear shifting which is not as smooth. Rest everything is perfect.

Best Bike under 150 cc

One of the stylish bikes gets 50+ km mileage. Under 165000. Having riding comfort. You can drive comfortably 200 km without taking a brake. Not feel any problem after riding this bike for more 4000 Km. With Y Connecting feature. Only Cons - Switch gear sometimes I feel it could be better and better.

Superb Bike

Underneath the stars, my bike takes on a new allure, its headlights cutting through the darkness as I journey into the night. The quiet hum of the engine and the solitude of the road create a meditative atmosphere, allowing me to reflect and unwind after a long day. The Yamaha FZ-X is a styling street fighter bike that races off-road trails with the same intuition you drive in towns. When you look at this motorcycle, with its tough appearance and wild styling, you can't help but feel empowered with the impression that this bike can perform and handle mountains of any difficulties, and that makes it the right motorbike for riders open to new experiences and adventure. The FZ-X sees to it that the bike delivers terrific performance on the road through a strong engine and responsive handling properties, and it also ensures comfort for long rides by (bearing) state-of-the-art features and wonderful ergonomics. I don't care if it's crawling through the city traffic or going out and adapting to desert conditions; this bike is ready to provide the best of independence and performance caught in two bells.
