Okinawa Raise Summary
The Raise is a new low-speed electric scooter from Okinawa which is also the most affordable offering from the Gurugram-based manufacturer. It is mainly suitable for short-distance urban commuting. The Raise boasts of a simple styling featuring conventional headlamp, tail lamp and turn indicators along with a blue backlit LCD instrument cluster. It also gets a 19-litre under seat storage space.
Propelling the scooter is a 250Watt BLDC motor which draws power from a 48V/24Ah VRLA battery. While the top speed of the Raise is limited to 25kmph, its full-battery range is claimed to be around 60-65kmph. The battery gets fully juiced up in four to six hours and it can carry a maximum load of up to 150kg.
The Rraise rides on 10-inch alloy wheels at both ends which are shod with tubeless tyres. Damping duties are handled by hydraulic telescopic forks up front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Stopping power comes from drum brakes at both ends with E-ABS (electronic – assisted braking system).
The Okinawa Raise competes against other affordable, low-speed electric scooters such as the Hero Electric Flash and Ampere REO.
