Ducati India has launched the 2019 edition of its Scrambler series of motorcycles today. The range consists of the entry-level Icon followed by Full Throttle, Café Racer and the series top-spec Desert Sled. The motorcycles have been priced at Rs 7.69 lakh, Rs 8.92 lakh, Rs 9.78 lakh and Rs 9.93 lakh, respectively. (all prices are ex-showroom, India).

For the 2019 edition, Ducati has carried out a couple of updates for the motorcycles. It receives a couple of cosmetic updates including improved switchgear quality, new LED DRLs and an updated instrument cluster which now features a fuel gauge and gear position indicator.

Each motorcycle belonging to the Scrambler series has its own distinctive character with a modern-retro design language. While the entry-level Icon sports the iconic scrambler theme, the Café Racer, as the name suggests features like lowered handlebar, spoke wheels and a solo seat with a petite tail section. The Full Throttle, on the other hand, carries a flat-tracker design theme featuring a seat designed for racing and dual tone body panels. The Desert Sled is the top-spec model in the Scrambler series. It is a more capable off-roader featuring 200mm of suspension travel at both front and rear, a revised swingarm, motocross-style handlebar, headlight mesh guard, engine skid plate and high mudguards to help its off-road capability.

On the mechanical front, the motorcycle receives a hydraulic clutch assembly with adjustable levers. Besides that, the powertrain remains the same. It continues to be powered by an 803cc, L-twin, air-cooled engine that registers 73bhp of max power and 67Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are handled by a six-speed gearbox.

Given that bookings have already commenced for the 2019 Scrambler series, expect Ducati to start deliveries of the motorcycles in the next couple of weeks.
