Hero MotoCorp’s February sales down by 2 per cent

- Maestro Edge 125, XPulse will be launched soon

Hero MotoCorp’s February sales have decreased by 2 per cent. The company sold 6,17,215 units in last month as against 6,29,597 units in the same month last year. 

The company claims that the first two months of the current quarter has done good business, but lower than expected. It plans to increase its overall sales in the next few months by launching new scooters like the Maestro Edge 125 and the XPulse 200 – an entry-level premium motorcycle. 

The Gurgaon-based manufacturer has been pushing for the reduction of GST on two-wheelers. The current rate stands at 28 per cent, but the company us pushing for a reduced rate of 18 per cent. The company believes that doing this will help the industry grow.
