    Buying experience:

    Bought this bike from delhi

    On road price was 196000

    Bought it in september 2017

Got it in 2 days after the formalities and paper work

Showroom staff was quite helpful and helped in selecting this bike as per my needs.

    Riding experience:

It's my first bike, so took me time learn to handle it's power and still learning.

It's quite smooth and powerful at same time.

    Details about looks, performance:

I can always see people turning their heads so i guess 5/5 for looks. Talking about performance, it has been performing well for till now and i am satisfied.

    Servicing and maintenance:

Service costed me around ?1900, but it was a free service so labour charges were included.

With labour charges added it costs around ?2500-2700.

I bought a chain cleaner and chain lube

    Bike cleaner and polishing wax

Costed me around 1.5k but it's overall cheaper because going every-time to service centers for washing and chain lubing will cost far more.

    Pros:

Amazing power still good for daily commutes, looks, control

    Cons:

1)ktm should offer abs for this bike since it's quite powerful and abs is a must in a place like India, plus for bike costing you around 2 lakhs abs should be provided.

2)bike heats up aggressively in traffic but the cooling system does its job well, but during summers it gets quite uncomfortable to drive it.

According to its design i was totally surprised to hear the price of this bike.

The seat design has also changed, also seat height has increased to 830mm. As a result it provides us with comfort riding and much little cramp. So i went for duke 250.

Both the duke 250 and 390 look similar. At this price range (1.75l) it does not has the manic power as duke 390 does. But it still has enough points to keep the things interesting.

The new quadrilated duke uses 249cc single cylinder liquid cool fuel injected engine.Which produces max power of 30 bhp and 24 nm of torgue.

Servicing and maintenance of bike is quite expensive. So the rider must ride the bike smoothly.

    Fuel tank capacity=13.5 ltr.

Pros and cons....It's look is awesome, comfort riding ,.........There is no abs even as an option, higher heights of seat.......

    I own 2016 ktm duke 250

    My experiences -

    1.Looks : amazing looks , resembles a brute.

2.Reliability : very reliable. Only time i visited the service center was to lube the chain. (you must check the chain slack and lube the chain for every 500 kms )

3.Performance : mind blowing acceleration , hits the 136 kmph mark in no time and that's the max the bike can go. The brakes are very precise and the steel braided lines offer good feedback . The tyres provide good grip on dry roads , on the wet they do work fine but can be a bit nervous . Mileage in city - 30kmpl & 39-40 kmpl on highway.

4.Comfort : the bike is comfortable for long rides as well as city rides . But the same cant be said for pillions as the seat is pretty small and uncomfortable even in the city. This can be very disturbing to rider if the pillion is not comfortable.

5.Serving experience : good service networks and spares are also easily available . Cost of spares are pretty decent as it is a premium quality sports bike.

Pros : value for money bike

    Cons:

    1. The horn : it sounds really sick and is very feeble once you cross 40kmph .

    2. Pillion seat : its small and very uncomfortable .

duke 250 is pocket rocket easy to handle in traffic both brake are damn good bike acceleration is quick rear suspension are little bit hard tyres are not so good in off roading bike actual mileage is 28 km per liter bike maintenance is little bit expensive than other bikes. bike issues bike gear shift is very hard and noisy and bike chain is very noisy if your riding in offroad bike engine is not so reliable.

    1. I purchased the bike at the time of october in 2017 and there is not that much to say about the purchasing experience because even you pay by cash they didn't give you any benefits like some discount or accessories.2. If you want adrenaline boost this is the bike. If you like to have a very very much responsive bike then this is it. You can never go wrong with ktm but i must say that you have to understand the bike before purchase it because i have seen people buying ktm rc bikes and complaining about its long time riding problems people have to understand that rc is a series which is mainly focused on track riding not for long rides or even daily commutes if it is more than 5-6 kilometers. This bike duke 250 is very much agile you can curve through the corners very precisely. Although back in 2017 when i bought this bike it doesn't have any abs version lucky for people's now it has it. That was the only thing i is feeling bad about my bike other than that it is a real beauty with so much power.3. Looks wise it is the best looking bike in its segment. Among any other brands bike you cannot feel the design that much that you can feel in this. This design looks like it's meant to cut through air. If anyone looking for higher torque not higher top speed then this bike have it.4. Servicing is very cheap compared to other brands like kawasaki or money consuming bmw. 5.Pros are i. Best torque in its segment ii. Very much agile despite being heavy. iii. Well priced, comes with more than what you pay. iv. Best looking design. con. I.Lack of abs.(for buyers before 2019) if you are buying this bike now it checks every boxes of your expectations.
