I bought my Ktm duke 250 on 28th march 2017 i rode the bike about 11000 km, looks wise its awesome, Performance is phenomenal.. I live in West Bengal here service is not good,If i order any part they ordered it and it came in around 1 month or later sometimes part was wrong also. if i say about some cons: firstly bike has some vibes in front right side footpeg, seats, and in the side cowl if you rev it 7k lr 8k rpm . secondly chain sprocket is just bad i lube it many time actually i lube it in every 200 km but chain has some bad noise like 'khat khat' i showed it many times but they did not solve it they said "it is normal".. thirdly bike is not stable in higher speed, braking is not that great also. Otherwise bike is perfectly fine and awesome. if you want a naked sport bike and you just learned biking from a 150cc bike you can trust the bike and go for it.. Happy Riding!.

I own duke 250 2018 model and i had completed almost 3000 km riding this bike in city as well as highways. I was looking for a bike having high power as well as good design in price range of 2 lakh which will be comfortable for daily commute and this bike stands for all my expectation so i bought it. Now i am sharing my experience with this bike as we all know every bike have some pros and some cons i will tell both of this bike. So first i will start with pros of this bike-1) this bike gives you best power of 30hp @9000 rpm and 24 nm of torque @7000 rpm in this price range.2) the look of this bike is simply awesome as its colours combination is eye catching.3) it gives you a fair mileage of 35 to 37 kmpl in highway and 30 to 32 kmpl in city.4) its fully digital instrument cluster which provides all necessary information like gear shift indicator, mileage according to the riding speed, trip meter, engine heat indicator, side stand indicator and many more.5) it does not heat up as much other ktm bikes heat.6) its riding posture is very comfortable as compared to other 250cc bikes for long as well as short rides.7) it comes with side exhaust which sounds really good when you cross 5k rpm.Now talking about its cons-1) it does not comes with abs even as an option, since it really needs to control such high power of 30hp.2) its mrf tyres is of average quality as metzeler will be best for it which comes with duke 390. that's it from me.3) it have a low top speed even as compared to 200cc bikes of other brand since bajaj rs200 and ns200 do 150+ easily and you have to struggle with this bike for reaching even 150.

The bike has no comparison in this price range. The excellent look . The funky colour style. It come with 2 colours range white and orange. The look is similar to the duke 390 but the difference is the head light. The rear disc brakes are smaller in size. And the price range is fantastic. But if the bike has abs then it has no comparison in Asian market.

The bike has a 248.8cc liquid-cooled motor that makes 30ps, 5ps more than the 200 duke. The bike weighs 161 kg and carries the steel finished, 13.5 liter fuel tank. The new design is much sharper than the existing 200 duke while ktm offers the same in 2 shades (black and orange) for wider audience appeal. Duke 250 rivals yamaha fz25 and benelli tnt25 in its segment. Awesome bike !

    Buying experience:

    Bought this bike from delhi

    On road price was 196000

    Bought it in september 2017

Got it in 2 days after the formalities and paper work

Showroom staff was quite helpful and helped in selecting this bike as per my needs.

    Riding experience:

It's my first bike, so took me time learn to handle it's power and still learning.

It's quite smooth and powerful at same time.

    Details about looks, performance:

I can always see people turning their heads so i guess 5/5 for looks. Talking about performance, it has been performing well for till now and i am satisfied.

    Servicing and maintenance:

Service costed me around ?1900, but it was a free service so labour charges were included.

With labour charges added it costs around ?2500-2700.

I bought a chain cleaner and chain lube

    Bike cleaner and polishing wax

Costed me around 1.5k but it's overall cheaper because going every-time to service centers for washing and chain lubing will cost far more.

    Pros:

Amazing power still good for daily commutes, looks, control

    Cons:

1)ktm should offer abs for this bike since it's quite powerful and abs is a must in a place like India, plus for bike costing you around 2 lakhs abs should be provided.

2)bike heats up aggressively in traffic but the cooling system does its job well, but during summers it gets quite uncomfortable to drive it.
