  • Duke 200 .... Check this out ...

    Sahil Sharma

This is a awesome bike... 1lakh 55k in not too much for this beast.... Its driving experience is too good... So powerful if this is your first bike first try to understand its power because its pickup is too good... O-100 in 9.1-2 sec.

Look- when it comes to look this bike is wow. I love it so much....

    Mileage is good 30+

Seats are little bit harder but that's not a major problem... You can fix it...

This bike is too good in city...

My duke 200 service cost is low (2-3)then my baby spend on his makeup or chocolate....

If you are thinking about to buy this bike go ahead.. This bike will never disappoint you at any cost....

    Now some negative points.

    First -less service centres

    Second

This bike is so powerful some time rider doesn't wear proper gears and lost his life.... So its power is its negative point if you are new to this type of bike.... So keep in mind you don't drive splendor or any other 125or 135 cc bike you are on a beast 200 cc bike having 24.6 bhp... So ride save use all gears... Thanks a-lot....

I hope this will help you.

  • ABS MISSING WHY?

    Sukesh

After paying almost 160k we don't have the ABS which we get in a 90k bike TVS RTR ABS. KTM must also care about safety of the customers i mean to say that they could keep an alternative version which comes with ABS as their bikes are meant to be sold in India where roads are not safe for bikes without ABS. Other than that it gives a decent mileage in city. Also actual maintenance started at 45k kms.

  • Nothing good except naked look

    Manoj

I bought a ktm 200 bike about 2 years before. Bike has good naked look. As i saw the bike's look, go for purchasing this bike. After one month i observed, this bike is not good on indian roads. Handle n contol is not as per expectations, n it heat up early n my legs starts burning. Also ktm service center is not good. They always be in hurry n service cost is high even free n paid both. Beyond 20km drive your shoulders will start paining, that i feel during sleep generally.

Style the bike undoubtedly has a very appealing naked look which i admire. The rear seat is slighly higher than normal bikes i what i inferred. The colours combinations that ktm provides are very good but they could have given a little bit more of variety to choose from.

Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox it is one the best acceleration performance i;ve seen in this section of bikes. Its quick, very quick. The fuel economy is slightly low. On road it gives me around 25 kmpl. The gearbox is quick and an amazing throtlle response. The shifts are very quick. The exhaust is something that stands out. The exhauts sound is just amazing. You come to know its duke passing by only because of the exhaust sound. Being a teenager its something im fond of but elderly people dont like the loud sound of it.

Ride quality & handling the ride quality is much better compared to pulsar 200 ns. Though the lower gear vibrations is sokmething that they can imporve. The bike handles quite well and the turning is fine.

Final words overall the ktm duke 200 is a very nice bike and a must buy. Incase you plan to buy a pulsar 200 ns or rs200 my advise qould be to go for the duke 200 undoubtedly. You may have to spend more money but its something i found worth spending for.

  • Ktm duke 200 rocks, facts surprisingly shocks..!!!

    Kapilashu

Here are my findings after owning ktm duke 200 2015 model. Rocks: 1) excellent pickup 2) stunning naked looks 3) qualitative manufactured product 4) best sitting position for tall riders 5) quiet compact in size, ease to ride in heavy traffic 6) best value for money 7) best for long rides, once its in gear 5-6. Shocks: 1) poor road grip - it has 280-300mm disk brakes at rear/front but again duke 200 is quiet light in weight(130kgs.). It has better power to weight ratio. But when you are at speed of 60+kmph & if you apply urgent brakes, bike doesn't stop & gets skids for at least 5-10mtrs. Which is definitely not safe for speedy riders. 2) Not for short riders/pillion - its too tall sitting position for short riders. Pillion rider needs to climb up for sitting. 3) Vibration issues - duke 200 has relatively more vibrations at lower gears. Bikes gets smooth at 4+ gear. 4) Too noisy/irritating silenser - in city traffic, this bike you may find too noisy. 5) Complex rear brake paddle position - brake paddle position angle may find difficult to rider initially. 6) Poor horn quality - horn noise and tempo is quiet ordinary and certainly doesn't suits to hype of duke. Its a complete package for aggressive rider, except poor road grip at high speed, results in poor riding control, surely doesn't give safe feeling at speed.

    Pros

    1) stunning looks 2) mfg. Quality 3) engine performance 4) ease in handling

    cons

    1) vibrations 2) comfort 3) poor road grip 4) poor control

Superb bike only till the bike is in warranty. After the warranty expires this is nothing but a headache.Too high maintenance cost and even the service is not good. There will be a huge hole in your wallet every time you go for service. You can buy it if you change you bike frequently, and not recommended for long term users.
