If you look from the price perspective, ktm raised the prices 3 times in 3 months for this bike which has nothing special in it. Let's compare it straight to its rival the mt-15. For rs. 9000 more you get mt-15 which makes more sense as it is fresh in the market. It has a bigger engine. Japs are always better. Looks better than duke 125. Mt-15 is lighter than duke 125 by 10 kgs, power to weight ratio matters. I don't see one good reason to consider duke 125 over mt-15.

1.Buying experience was ok. 2.Riding this new bike from KTM family, it doesn't give true KTM feel but it's very smooth and comfortable. 3.Lookwise it's same as 1st Gen Duke 200. While talking about performance it's really a bad combination of hardware and powertrain, because it's hardware's are top notch, for this top notch hardware's this is not the engine. It won't give scary acceleration like other Ktm bikes bikes, it's missing most crazy true KTM nature. Bike feel nimbler till 6000rpm and afterwards we feel power but again disappointment in the way rpm limiter, it will reach 10500rpm too early. I'm not complaining about engine, for it's 125CC capacity is performance is outstanding. It's not a good combination of hardware and engine (at least it should be 135 or 150cc). 4.Servicing cost of this bike is normal like Duke 200 about 4000rs per service of 5000kms or 7500kms if you go for check up at 5000kms. Chain maintenance is more, ktm recommended to clean and lubricate chain at every 500kms. 5.Pro: a)good mileage city 40,highway 47,calm ride at 5500rpm upto 54, b)Good hardware set up c)clear and bright halogen headlight d) very refined and butter smooth engine e) smooth shocks comparatively pre gen ktms f)Good looking g)we can rev the engine at high rpm for joy with safe speed(low top speed about 120km/hr.h)Abs(single channel) and RLP(rear wheel lift off protection). i) Good riding position: bit relaxing manner.j)no heating problem even if you revs hard. Cons: a)feel lack in power b)very low torque below 6000rpm c)no led headlight d)bit a high cost(about 1.78on road on 22/06/2020).e) buy only for good mileage and daily commute don't search scary acceleration: true KTM character in this bike f) pillion seat not comfortable.

Many writes about considering MT above DUKE 125 comparing similarities in price, but in consideration of price duke packages with USD forks which i think 1st in this price!,single channel abs(not a big deal since we get in every bikes above 150cc)110 and 150 section tires make this bike a better and worth of money machine.I didn't say that MT is bad :) considering mileage 19bhp and the marvelous look make it really praticable.DUKE 125 is one of the best choice at this price considering the cornering comfort it offers and other stuffs.hope u found my observation helpful :)

Offering the same looks as the 200 Duke with a smaller motor, KTM has ventured into the 125cc space with a performance-oriented motorcycle. With premium features and a price tag that crosses the one lakh mark for a 125cc bike, is the 125 Duke worth the price it demands?
