Kawasaki India shocked the motorcycle fraternity with the launch of the 2017 version of the Ninja 1000. The price of this litre-class sports tourer was kept at Rs 9.98 lakh, almost Rs 2.8 lakh less than the outgoing model. This was possible as the new Ninja 1000 is a semi - knocked down (SKD) unit which attracts less duties as compared to the completely - built up(CBU) units.
