Jawa 42 Dual ABS - Beautiful But Unreliable
36 weeks ago
Vivveck
The Jawa 42 looks absolutely stunning and turns heads everywhere. The retro design is premium, build quality is solid, and it's comfortable to ride. However, this is where the positives end.At just 39,827 km, my bike developed severe electrical issues. I paid Rs. 13,055 for Magneto Assembly and Regulator Rectifier replacement, but the problem returned within days. I was stranded 15 km from home when the battery died completely. Now I'm being quoted another Rs. 13,500 for full wiring - total Rs. 26,555 for the same recurring issue. The service center provides zero communication, refuses to issue job cards, and ignores repeated requests for updates. Customer care is completely unresponsive to emails and calls. After multiple attempts to resolve this peacefully, I've received nothing but silence.Bottom Line: This bike looks like a showpiece in your garage but is unreliable for daily use. Poor reliability at low mileage combined with terrible after-sales service makes it a risky purchase. If you value dependability and responsive support, look elsewhere. You're essentially buying a gorgeous piece of jewellery with zero backup support from the company. Not recommended for anyone seeking a reliable daily commute motorcycle.

Breakdown period is important

The breakdown period is important. The first 2000km is very important so ride smoothly in this period. I made a big mistake on that period so I just getting 20 mileage per litre. And it causes the clutch plate damaged. I changed the clutch plate to 4000km which cost 8k+ First service cost 1.5k, Second service cost 1.7k.

Retro Style, Raw Sound, Pure Joy

I’ve been riding the Jawa 42 for a while now, and it’s been a great experience. The bike feels powerful yet smooth, especially in city traffic. I love its retro look and the deep exhaust sound. It handles well and feels stable on highways, too. Mileage isn’t the best, but the overall riding feel makes it worth it. What I enjoy most is the attention the bike gets on the road. The seating posture is comfortable for daily rides, and the suspension handles rough roads fairly well. Overall, it feels like a perfect mix of classic charm and modern performance.

The bike feels premium and attracts attention wherever it goes. The engine is smooth and powerful, giving a thrilling riding experience both in the city and on highways. The pickup is impressive, and the exhaust sound adds a unique charm that bike lovers really enjoy. The seating position is comfortable for daily rides as well as long trips. One of the best things about the Jawa 42 is its handling. It feels stable at high speed and is easy to control in traffic. Jawa 42
12 weeks ago
Madhavan
The Jawa 42 stands out as a stylish and retro-inspired motorcycle that blends classic design with modern engineering. It carries forward the legacy of the iconic Jawa brand while appealing to today’s riders who want both performance and aesthetics. One of the biggest highlights of the Jawa 42 is its design. The bike features a minimalistic, neo-retro look with a sculpted fuel tank, matte finish options, and a compact stance. It feels youthful compared to the standard Jawa models, making it popular among younger riders. In terms of performance, the Jawa 42 is powered by a 293cc liquid-cooled engine that delivers smooth acceleration and refined power output. It performs well in city conditions and can handle highway rides comfortably. The exhaust note is deep and satisfying, adding to the riding experience. The handling is another strong point. The bike feels light and easy to maneuver, especially in traffic. Its suspension setup offers decent comfort on rough roads, though it may feel slightly stiff on bigger bumps. However, the Jawa 42 is not without flaws. Some users have reported issues with service quality and availability of spare parts in certain areas. The fuel efficiency is average compared to competitors, and vibrations can be noticeable at higher speeds.Overall, the Jawa 42 is a great choice for riders who value style, brand heritage, and a unique riding experience. It may not be the most practical option in its segment, but it definitely stands out on the road.

Bike is very good, no vibration at all on handle, engine reves very smoothly and the grunt of the bike is also great, bike gives a decent average of 25-28, but there are some issues also with this bike, like it has very low ground clearance and the engine heats too much in the summers, but over all my experience with this bike is good and it is worth buying.

Every 2-3 month I face a new problem with my Jawa 42, service centers in Delhi NCR are worst and this bike is only good when it's new. As time passing by I realised my mistake of purchasing jawa... I request you all to please go with some other bike but not jawa. Worst experience ever, Pulsar, Xtream, Royal Enfield and ever Discover is much better than Jawa. I faced problem with self start, battery, engine performance, build quality and service centres, and much more. It still need much more R&D by Jawa to improve their bike, as looks and design are not everything.

Hrishikesh Raj
I’ve been riding the Jawa 42 for a while now, and it’s been a great experience. The bike feels powerful yet smooth, especially in city traffic. I love its retro look and the deep exhaust sound. It handles well and feels stable on highways, too. Mileage isn’t the best, but the overall riding feel makes it worth it. What I enjoy most is the attention the bike gets on the road. The seating posture is comfortable for daily rides, and the suspension handles rough roads fairly well. Overall, it feels like a perfect mix of classic charm and modern performance.

The Jawa 42 is a perfect mix of classic style and modern performance. Its retro design, round headlamp, and sporty look make it stand out on the road. The suspension works well on rough roads, making rides comfortable. The braking system is also reliable and gives confidence while riding.

Jawa 42

Great bike with great pick up
