Reviews of Jawa 42 FJ

I had brought this bike in the month of Jan 2025 and have rode around 1300km so far. So talking about the positives,
- It's got good looks and a brand reputation that can outshine any of its segment bikes.
- As the Company said, I can see the improvement in its quality.
- Greater riding comfort, powerful torque and stunning performance.
- Easy to maintain.
- Paint quality on the tanks and the dual silencers
- Easily commute in heavy traffic.
- Huge options of aftermarket accessories are available and it also it looks stunning.
Now coming to the things I am slightly disappointed.
- Mileage (I have done a full tank mileage testing on various road conditions and it's after 1st service)
A little bit of open throttle within the heavy traffic gave me a shocking mileage of 12kmpl.
Average riding on a lesser traffic gave me the mileage of around 21 - 25kmpl.
Riding on the open highways with zero traffic and maintaining a speed upto 75-80 gave me 34 - 37kmpl. I believe it's again the riding pattern that matters. The lesser the use of the clutch and brakes, yields more mileage and also maintains a stable speed.
- Heating issues still continue to have despite of the big fan radiator being introduced in this model. I assume most of the bikes with over 300 cc will have the same issue.
- I could see some rusting specially on the bolts beneath the engine.
- I can feel the good amount of vibrations after the first service.
My final opinion about this bike.
If the customer support, after-sales will be improved, then it would be better and people will get trust on the brand, though the bike has some minor issues which can be rectified. This way we can give some sort of respect to the legendary Brand and keep the blood line running more stronger, just like we take care of our parents and give them the respect.
Other than this, the bike is awesome to ride, and it has good road presence.

The front suspension is quite good.
Breaking is amazing.
Cons:- Rear suspension is on a little bit more stiffer side.
Mild heating issues but can be ignored if you are riding 350 cc motorcycle.

After a lot of trials, I went on to buy 2 bikes, different colours one for me and one for my brother.
Awsm pickup with good mileage, heating issue of the engine is reduced from all the previous versions, with fully new and higher capacity ending.
Low as well as high-end performance is great. Hats off to the Jawa team.
Perfect retro classic design best in the market, with premium fit and finish.
Go for dual-tone colours.
Finally, a bike to beat RE dominance.

I am highly recommended this bike to who have internet on retro style bike with good power and torque and also road presence is excellent. I took a test ride of the Classic 350 and this bike. I was chosen Jawa 42 Fj for this looks & Performance.

Performance is good, Service Charge: 3000 in the first service, for my car it was almost zero. Worst paint quality. Within a month there are many scratches on the fuel tank. It doesn't run smoothly at a slow speed in first gear.
Daily you have to warm it up for a minute, then only you can ride it smoothly.

It’s new in the market to beat Royal Enfield and its other competitors. Value for money at this price point, if you want retro-type, looks with great performance. Alfa 2 engine which is with some new design and performance level. This machine is an attention seeker. If you can buy this machine so obviously you can also take care of fuel tank.

It's an excellent brand that roars all over India. The colors and its look made me fall in love and its performance was awesome. Jawa is the Dream Bike. Servicing and maintenance is somewhat difficult and I am far away from the showroom. There is no showroom nearby. But the overall experience is good. Still, more tests are pending and after that, I'll update with more experience that I feel.
The long ride is the best choice with 42fj and on highway ride is perfect.
