Jawa 42 FJ Price in Mumbai

I’ve spent a few months with the Jawa 42, and while it certainly turns heads with its retro-modern styling, I can’t help but feel that the features don’t quite justify the price tag.
Pros:
Design: The bike looks stunning. The matte finish, minimalist branding, and sporty stance give it a unique identity.
Engine Performance: The 293cc liquid-cooled engine offers decent torque and smooth cruising, especially on highways.
Ride Quality: Suspension setup is comfortable for city rides, and the low seat height makes it accessible to many riders.
Cons:
Feature Set: For a bike in this price range, it lacks modern features like:
LED headlamps (still halogen)
No ride modes or traction control
Basic instrument cluster with limited information
Google map
Build Quality: Some components feel flimsy, especially the switchgear and side panels.
After-Sales Service: Service network is still growing, and parts availability can be an issue in some regions.
Vibrations: Noticeable vibrations creep in at higher RPMs, which affects long-ride comfort.
Verdict:
The Jawa 42 is a stylish bike with decent performance, but when compared to competitors like the Royal Enfield Classic 350 or Honda CB350, it falls short in terms of features and refinement. If you're buying it purely for the looks and brand nostalgia, it might be worth it. But if you're looking for value and modern tech, you might want to explore other options.

The initial buying experience was great. It has great ergonomics for city rides and long highway tours. Feels a bit heavy for first few weeks but getting used to it is quite easy. Above 6000 rpm there are some vibrations on mirrors and the foot pegs. Service and Maintenance is a bit in the expensive side but not too expensive.
Pros: Smooth power delivery, enough low end torque for maneuvering through traffic, head turner.
Cons: Brakes fade under heavy braking, the gear box could have been more precise.

Bike is good for riding. Bike doesn’t have usb charging port, you need to buy separately from showroom. Also Bluetooth. Liquid cool engine still have heating issue, but it doesn’t feel much while riding. Rest bike is very big and good for highway and normal road. But you feel weightless on highway. Handling is good. Sitting posture good. You need to buy center stand, back rest and leg guard separately from showroom like usb charging port.
Over all it is amazing with super power engine.
