Jawa 42 FJ Price in Kannauj

bought this bike recently best part is its look and sound and dual exhaust for the price segment is top notch nothing in its competition looks, sounds and drives this good, go for this bike if you want thrill riding in the city, very powerful initial and mid (struggles to gp above 130-135 but for most its ok),you will never will lack of power or torque a single percent very flickable too easy to filter traffic comfor is good not upto meteor level but meteor lacks power, this bike gets high attention i can gaurentte no bike can get this much attention(mine is all black) in this price segment specially in retro designs this just killer, now the part where it could be improved: a bit hard gears does feel nice when thrilfully driving but can be problematic if riding in city speacially if not in shows, and gear ratio is also short to avoid any vibraations in traffic you need to shift continously not every now and then but u have to, display is ok but no navigaton features wheres as its competitors get that : basically if u need high power which will never feel a single percent less in city and bikes go crazy on pulling throttle go for it best sound everything. If your run is mostly highway and you really want a cruiser bike, go for Meteor, it also does good in highway, no problem with that but Meteor has comfort by a slight percent but it feels slow. Jawa 42 FJ is a mixed and perfect bike, though a bit heating is there, but manageable, not like the GT 650.

First, the dealers were fraudulent ( Shri Ambe Auto Sales Etawah). They committed fraud regarding accessories; they have installed old 42 bike accessories, mileage is bad, 20kmpl after the second service, the Clutch plate went within 4000 kms, the petrol tank cap is not properly finished can't open smoothly. Very disappointed as it was my first bike with high hopes.

First Impression & Looks:
Amazing! It really stands out, especially since all RE bikes look the same.
Build Quality & Comfort:
Quite good overall, but some bolts have rusting issues.
Performance & Engine:
In its price segment of retro bikes, it has no match. The engine is powerful, and the brakes are amazing.
Handling & Ride Quality:
A bit hard to handle in the city, but very good for highway rides.
Braking & Safety:
Excellent braking performance. Compared to RE bikes, which usually have very poor braking, this one is outstanding.
Features & Technology:
Almost nothing in terms of features or modern tech. Very disappointing for this price point.
Mileage & Running Cost:
I rev it a lot and ride hard, so I get around 22–25 km/l. But it doesn’t bother me much because I enjoy the roar of the engine.
Reliability & Practicality:
After 6 months, I haven’t faced any reliability issues. However, practicality is poor—it’s very difficult to handle in traffic, the pillion seat has almost no space, and the seat itself feels quite short.
Final Verdict:
If you mostly ride alone or on highways, just go for it—you will not regret it. But for city use, I’d suggest looking at other options.
