Hyosung has showcased its range of entry-level quarter-litre motorcycles at the 2015 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan. Called GD250R and GD250N, these motorcycles are going to be launched in India in the next year.
Hyosung has thrown a curve ball by unveiling a new middleweight streetfighter, the GD450, at the 2015 EICMA in Milan. Based on a brand new platform, the GD450 not only looks spectacular, but also comes with astonishing specifications and power output which serve as the cherry on the cake.
It has been a while since Hyosung officially confirmed its plans of launching the GD250R and GD250N in India. Now though, a test mule of the GD250R has been photographed sporting a ‘TC’ number plate in Pune, hinting that the fully-faired quarter-litre bike’s launch might be just around the corner.
While rumours of Hyosung launching GD250R and GD250N in India have been going around for a while, Mr Shivapada Ray, COO of DSK Motowheels, has officially confirmed that the two quarter-litre models will be introduced here, this year.
Hyosung is planning to introduce a new 250cc motorcycle, christened EXIV R, in South Africa. Dealers in country have started accepting bookings for the EXIV R (X5R), and it is expected to be priced at AUD 44,900 (Rs 2.31 lakh).
DSK Hyosung showcased the street naked bike, the GD250N at the 2014 Auto Expo. Even though their main attraction was the Aquila 250 which was launched at Rs 2.7 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the GD250N gained too much attention of fellow visitorsattracted its fair share of visitors. Now, there reports suggesting that the fully-faired faired version of the GD250N is expected to be launched in the Indian market in July.
