  • The only problem with unicorn

    Giriraj

1.big problem (only)- on starting the bike to up to 2-3 minutes ride the bike pulls itself. There is increased sound and acceleration. You have to only change gear, control the bike in crowd. Then the sound becomes normal, and the ride becomes smooth. This is little dangerous also. Rest everything is good. One can use the bike for a very long time without problems if maintained properly.

  • Honda unicorn the king of 150-160 segment...

    Chiranjit Mukherjee

After a longtime research about all the 150cc segment, finally i am determined to buy honda-unicorn, yes the king of comfort, sophistical design and aggressive masculine look...Everyday i commute 100km, but amazing to say that there is no back pain, the path of my journey just became a bed of comfort with its linear and smooth engine performance, monoshock really make its a unicorn and the abs from bosch just make its safe and skid free riding ... Pros:- 1. Butter smooth engine 2. Monoshock , no back pain 3. Simple but elegant look 4.Better mileage 5. Low maintenance cost. Cons:- 1.The light equality must to be improve, during night on highways, it creates some deem effect 2. Mono suspension easily get mud during the rainy season, so its must be covered from tyre with any rubber pad.

  • Low light at night.

    Pravin

Riding experience is good. Looks is good but can be better. Servicing cost is high. Every time i have spent 1500 to 2000 rupees everytime. Pros. : good mileage, comfort ride, good suspension. Cons: high maintenance, head light and focus is not bright, not safe for riding on highway during night. Focus should be on road not on front vehicle.

  • Issues on Honda Unicorn 150cc Bike

    Mahadeo Gupta

I purchased a Honda Unicorn 150 cc in December 2017 and started using this from January 2018 onward. I noticed some problems that I am sharing to rectify the product, Please find below the problems I found in my Honda Unicorn 150cc.
    1. Body parts including Chassis and Silencer started rusting within one year.
    2. The headlight including indicators has vapour from inside, as a result, I can not see the road properly at night.
    3. After-service experience is very poor.
All the above problems were not there in my Bajaj Discover 125cc which I used for about bout 12 years.

2016 model unicorn150cc.It's a daily commuter and with decent mileage.
Change oil firstly 5000 and over 50000 km 2000km interval change oil. Over 50k carburetor-related problems are a change of it, this has seen in my opinion other ways happy to ride daily commuting and good mileage and service providing Honda.

  • Unicorn since 2009

    Dr Emmanuel Daniel

I am having Unicorn since 2009 and I dint feel like changing my bike till date. I would rate unicorn to be the most comfortable bike in this price bracket. Even after using it for 12 years and 1 lakh plus kms it still clocks 120kmph. The 2009 version of unicorn did not have a fantastic braking, however, the bs6 version has come with ABS. I used to travel all the way from Bangalore to Coimbatore in unicorn and I had never experienced discomfort. Unicorn is a good bike for single riders on hills, but not sure having a pillion rider you ll get the same performance on hills. Moreover, the speedometer is still not digitalized, where as most of the bikes in the same segment has an upgraded one. Overall its a fantastic bike city bike which can be used more than 10 years.

  • Best bike in this price range

    Subhajit

This bike is very good for daily commute. This bike has extreme smoothness. The comfort is 100% assured, even after riding 1-1.5 hours you will not feel any pain. If you are not a rush driver, you may get mileage of upto 55 km/l. I got an average of 52-53 km/l. You may have a question on it's looks in comparison with others in this price range, but Unicorn lovers have happily accepted it's normal formal looks. Remember the brand is Honda and 160 cc adds better quality which we will understand after 8-10 years of riding, when other bikes will got damaged, Unicorn will be 95% new. ABS has been added in bs6 and it's very important for highway riding, I am very satisfied with it's braking also.
Sometimes I feel that analog meters are not giving output up to the mark, but I do not have too much problem with it. Suspension is too good to understand jerking. But for some light weight person like me, some jerking may be felt.
Overall - I am very much satisfied and did not get any other option in this price range.
