  • Best bike in 180cc segment

    Sai Kishore

    1. Buying experience:
I always had a dream of buying a nice bike but cost matters to many of them. Same concern on my side also. I had confusion between Honda hornet 2.0 and Yamaha fz 25. Both are great in their own aspects but Yamaha price is slightly higher than Honda. Both looks stylish and design is also excellent. I had almost waited for 6 months by comparing these 2 bikes. I took test drive every month of both bikes. Finally I decided to go with Honda hornet 2.0 because of the price.
    2. Riding experience:
Riding a bike itself is a great feel. You feel like the king of road. When I ride the hornet, the feel is like awesome which we can't explain in words. Great feel. The riding position is very comfortable where we can sit properly and enjoy the riding due to great seating position. The engine is very smooth and we don't get irritated.
    3. Details about looks, performance and mileage:
As i already said, look is awesome like beat me if you have enough strength. Awesome looks with led lights front and back which is visible day and night. Suspension of forks and shockers are also good without any jerks. Performance is also smooth, riding is comfortable. Mileage is claimed to be around 40 to 45 km/l due to 180cc bike but it will vary depending on load, wind, tyre pressure, etc
    4. Servicing and maintenance:
Servicing 180cc bike will have its own price but compared to other bikes, this looks better in terms of pricing. Maintenance is also easier that we can get in one day. Staff's behavior is also fine as they understand clearly.
    5. Pros and cons:
Pros - Easy to handle, can go on long rides up to 300 kms per day. It has stylish ride, and comfortable seating position.
Cons - Chains bracket needs to be changed as it gets loosened after some kms.

  • Apache Pulsar comparison

    Wasim

Many people compare this bike with apache 200 but logically we don't even need riding mode or liquid or even oil cool in 20BHP bike that was useful for 50 or 60 BHP onwards. The bike is stunning when you park the bike in building parking every person notices this bike. Much refined and powerful engine which is more than sufficient and practically useful. We don't go racing every day. 90 is sufficient for cruising. When I bought it the seat was stiff but now it was good and improving. And 2022 is much more improved than 2021.

  • Pure balance between power and mileage bike in 200cc segment

    Shankar Sahay

I drove my hornet 2.0, 37000+ kms ( in 18 months) since april 2021. Including city and highway. Great handling, the pure balance between power & mileage. I'm getting mileage of 54-55 kmpl. My bike completed 7th scheduled service. In which both set of break-pad, chain set, and gear indicator switch get changed. Average service charges between 500-700 rs .
I am very happy with this bike's great pickup and handling.. Build with a great honda engine.

  • Price is high otherwise its good

    Rohan Joshi

    1-Enjoying well.
    2-50 km/l mileage.
3-Best bike to ride on highway and also city.
4-Ground clearance is less it touches even small humps.
5-Bike is light weight (142kg) in this segment. Paint quality is good.
6-Rear tyre width (140mm) highest in this segment. Skidding chances are very less. So it has best road grip both in mud and sand area.
    7-Silencer looks cute and good.
8-Usd shocks are highlight of this bike
9-I bought for 170000 on road price in sindhnur dist-raichur Karnataka (04-02-2021)

  • A quiet and relevant motorcycle.

    Aditya

I had borrowed the Honda hornet 2.0 from a friend to do a tour from Bangalore to Mysore to Coorg & back.
I have always been a fan of Honda as I personally own a CBR 250r which is a beauty.
The best thing about this bike is that its:
    1. Reliable: not a single time the bike gave any trouble during the tour, engine is super smooth.
    2. Performance: being a Honda, the performance is linear and smooth. The throttle is so easy that you hardly notice that the bike is at 80-90 km/h. Every time i looked at the speedo, i was surprised. Engine is superbly refined.
    3. Maintenance: being a Honda owner myself I know how reliable and affordable it is maintaining a Honda motorcycle. The engineers and the service staff are well versed.
4 . Looks: Well these are subjective, I personally find its look pretty good. The golden forks & led lights give the bike a distinctive look.
    5. Comfort: here I have a little gribe with this bike, as long as the roads are smooth, the bike rides nicely, but as soon as we hit the potholes (even small ones) the suspension sends messages through your spine. You would have to take a break after 150kms or so.
    6. Fuel economy: no complaints here, decent mileage of 45-55 km/l with a fuel capacity of around 10 liters. You will get a decent range.
    Pros:
    1. Reliable
    2. Fuel efficient
    3. Looks good
    4. Honda's economic and good service network
    Cons:
    1. Stiff suspension(rear) (spine tickler)
    2. A little expensive than the competition (well that's how Honda sells in India)

  • You will love riding this bike

    Manas Raj Srivastav

I am a medical student and was yet to buy my first bike..
I was looking for a bike in the 150 to 250cc section.
Ongoing thoroughly through various reviews of different bikes I finally halted at this bike..
    Upsides-
    1. Looks. When selecting Honda you never have to worry about looks. They produce one of the most decent-looking bikes on the market. With sharp edgy streetfighter styling, fat tyres and USD forks at the front this bike is a real eye-catcher which gives it a big bike appearance.
    2. Engine. While considering bikes of this range you only get yamaha R15 and MT15 and apache200 4v with power figures more than it.
It has a linear power delivery and delivers enough power at low end which makes it more usable in the city.
Still, this bike easily manages to deliver a mileage of 45kmpl
The engine is slick and free of vibrations even at speeds of 90kmph. Beyond that, there are some vibrations at the footpegs.
    3. Performance. Smooth and noiseless. Great stability which offers great confidence. I myself have ridden the bike till 117kmph which still was well planted at that speed, thanks to the USD and the air vents at the front.
Single-channel ABS works well. Has got really large tyres which add both to the look and stability
Braking is great. The front brake has the correct bite while the rear has the progression.
    4. Reliability. Japanese engines are really reliable. This can only be experienced when owning the bikes for a long time.
Indian makers like TVS and Bajaj are good at providing high engine figures but lack a life span.
And this can clearly be seen by observing bikes after 3 to 4 years of purchase.
    5. Comfort. The riding stance is comfortable. I myself have ridden this bike for 250km at a stretch without any difficulty. The seat height is not too high which makes it easy to ride for short riders.
    Now some downsides-
    1. Expensive. Comparing it to other bikes of this range it is a bit expensive.
    2. Lacks fancy features. While other manufacturers are coming out with features like mobile connectivity and riding modes (though not very useful) this bike doesn't come with such features.
    3. Misses out on dual-channel ABS . Though single-channel abs is enough, double channel ab would be a cherry on the cake.
    4. Pilion seat. Pilion seat is a bit small and stiff which is not good for long rides or undulating roads.
    5. Headlight. It struggles to perform its task fully. Not sufficient for highway riding.
Verdict- If you want an entry-level bike that can be used both for daily use and weekend rides then this can be your choice.

    Tips for other riders

Be regular with your bike's service and maintenance and this bike won't give you trouble with anything. Lube your chain every 600-700 kms. Check your tyre pressure regularly. Respect the bike, this is no ktm :p

  • You will love riding this bike
