I had borrowed the Honda hornet 2.0 from a friend to do a tour from Bangalore to Mysore to Coorg & back. I have always been a fan of Honda as I personally own a CBR 250r which is a beauty. The best thing about this bike is that its:1. Reliable: not a single time the bike gave any trouble during the tour, engine is super smooth. 2. Performance: being a Honda, the performance is linear and smooth. The throttle is so easy that you hardly notice that the bike is at 80-90 km/h. Every time i looked at the speedo, i was surprised. Engine is superbly refined. 3. Maintenance: being a Honda owner myself I know how reliable and affordable it is maintaining a Honda motorcycle. The engineers and the service staff are well versed. 4 . Looks: Well these are subjective, I personally find its look pretty good. The golden forks & led lights give the bike a distinctive look. 5. Comfort: here I have a little gribe with this bike, as long as the roads are smooth, the bike rides nicely, but as soon as we hit the potholes (even small ones) the suspension sends messages through your spine. You would have to take a break after 150kms or so. 6. Fuel economy: no complaints here, decent mileage of 45-55 km/l with a fuel capacity of around 10 liters. You will get a decent range.Pros: 1. Reliable 2. Fuel efficient 3. Looks good4. Honda's economic and good service networkCons: 1. Stiff suspension(rear) (spine tickler) 2. A little expensive than the competition (well that's how Honda sells in India)

Tips for other riders
Be regular with your bike's service and maintenance and this bike won't give you trouble with anything. Lube your chain every 600-700 kms. Check your tyre pressure regularly. Respect the bike, this is no ktm :p

1. Bought Grey matte Hornet 2.0 in August 2022 with a price of 1.74 l. Delivered within 1 week. That's quite a good one. 2. Mileage is awesome at this price segment and for the power. I'm getting 47 to 50 kmpl. It depends on how you are riding. I'm using it for daily purposes which is a minimum 12km ride of every day. Long ride as a solo rider, this is the best one, but with a pillion quite difficult.3. Looks are awesome and stylish. Easy to handle and will make you feel so comfortable and confident to ride in cities as a solo rider. Performance, initial pick up as usual good for 0 - 40 after that with the rpm of 5k, between 40 to 90, he is a beast. Easy ride in cities. No vibration at all till 110 kmph. 4. Service is good because of honda but we need to pinpoint the service centres regarding all the problems. The battery will be fused off once the battery warranty is finished within the next month. Due to direct fuel injection, rpm will vary at the initial start of the day for 2km as it needs to get temperature.

Tips for other riders
Change oil for every 3k kilometres and maintenance of chain and basic stuffs are a necessity. Try to give basic service for every 1.5k to 2k km ride as it helps bike to remain in good condition for the long term.
