Absolutely perfect performer

Style this is a decent sporty looking commuter, have similarities to yamaha fz & suzuki gixxer, but this is one a of a kind.
Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox have to appreciate honda for giving such a smooth engine, i'm overwhelmed it doesnt scream out loud even on the top speeds, gear shifts are perfect & man! anyone would fall in love with fuel economy for a 150 cc bike it gives whooping 55kmpl on highway ride and 50kmpl in city, and i reached top speed of 130kmph and done 17,000km.
Ride quality & handling ride quality is absolutely perfect, for individuals who love cruirsing long distances, without much stress, rider seating is designed very well for a fatigue free ride experience, the rear pillion seat is designed well too, two can travel comfortably on long & short distances. Even on the top speeds the bike is rock solid & stable.
Final words this is a perfect mixed power packed & fuel economy bike, but little sober looking design yet once you ride it, you would fall in with its ride comfort.
Areas of improvement kill switch should be included, the switches are looking similar to honda shine, as this is a premium bike, company should have used unicorn switches or more distinctive switches, the paint on silencer are not of good quality, it fades so soon! the mud cover should be included on the rear tyre!
pros
ride comfort, fuel economy, smooth handling, power packed
cons
no engine kill switch, the switches should have been much better, plastics are cheap on conole ,

I am writing this review after riding my bike for more than 6000kms.
Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox this area is well refined by honda and you feel it once you ride it. Fuel economy in arround 50kmpl, i ride it in a city.
Ride quality & handling on a warm day, with right tire pressure the ride quality is awesome. What i feel is that the bike is a bit front heavy and to save weight honda has made its tail a bit extra light. So on damp road or on a cold morning/evening, at even 45km/hr, hit the brake, the rear wheel gets locked very easilyand wobbels a lot. I think this is the basic difference between cb trigger and a cb unicorn.
Final words it is a good buy, nice to go with your loved ones for a long ride :) !
areas of improvement the weight distribution of the bike is an area that honda should take back to the drawing board and get things sorted. I believe the chassis can be modified to put some extra weight on the rear wheel without increasing the overall weight of the bike.
Pros
smoothness of the engine at higher rpm
cons
instability on a chilly winter morning or damp rainy day

A good bike in 150cc category

Style designed well from fuel tank to rear seating area , the front part could have been designed better
engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox good performance, solid pick-up, mileage on city conditions 50+ kmpl , gear shifting is okay
ride quality & handling extremely comfortable , good braking
final words carries the reknowned honda engine tag, a premium bike in this segment, buy dlx or cbs rather than std version
areas of improvement area between headlight & meter could have been designed better , although i understand to give a simple & compact look , however an air shield or some space could have been provided between the two
pros
braking particularly for dlx / cbs
cons
design on front part i.E. Between head light & meter

Hello fellow riders...Please bear with me as my review can be a bit long..As i feel...Its not about the destination.....Its all about the ride...A synopsis of the past....I started riding motorcycles from 2002..Being a 20 yr old boy , who barely crossed his teens and a bit influenced by those 'definitely male' ads , i convinced my dad and went for a bajaj pulsar , with round headlamps , discs and spoke wheels. Oh boy , college days became more fun (obviously outside colleges). After couple of years and approx 20k kms it came up with engine problems which could not be fixed. Sold it and bought honda unicorn from todi honda kolkata. Gem of a motorcycle. It was with me for 2 and half years. No issues . Sold it as i was in real need of money for my capital investment in my upcoming business venture. Sold it for 48k and bought a used hero honda ambition for 18k. It digested another 10k in during its 2 yr stay with me. A real headache which even a amratunjan roll on can't tackle. Sold it for 10k and went to buy yamaha fz from leaders yamaha kolkata. My loan was not sanctioned. The reason they gave was bizarre : as i was doing my business in rural bengal and my business center lies there and if i become a defaulter the recovery agency wont be able to track me to recover the dues . But i reside in proper kolkata and my bank ac and it file has enough criteria for this loan. They said a sorry and i moved on. I was so pissed off i decided to not buy yamaha products anymore. Next i went to amit hero kolkata and bought a hero honda hunk on loan from hdfc bank.My luck striked again . After few thousand kilometres this one also got an engine problem. The service center fixed it as it was under warranty. Again after a few thousand kms it came back and they fixed it. And again for the third time. The fourth time the warranty was over and i immediately sold it off for 42k.Bcoz its pointless to put your money on a baseless pit. now what to do..Is my luck really bad with motorcycles or i drive badly..I asked myself..If so why did the honda unicorn didint give me problems?.. Between all these thoughts i went to royal enfield showroom for test drive and was pleased with the ride. Was discussing with a friend of mine which one to take , classic or thunderbird?....Which aftermarket alloy wheels and tubeless tyres to take fix (i definitely needed tubeless ones as there were very few repair shops on the route i travel and none is open in the night)?.....When a salesperson overheard us and said sir you cant fix alloys, bcoz if any engine problem comes the co will not cover you under warranty..What the f ??? i and my childhood buddy were both due for a smoke. He said , 'are bhai why dont we go to shah honda showroom once which is nearby, and remember honda suits you.' are he said my ' mann ki baat'. We rode to shah honda with cbr in mind. The buying experience:Tried cbr ..Nice cool motorcycle..But many things were going on in my mind that time , will it be ok for daily commuting? open chain will create problems on muddy rural roads?...Shifted my focus on honda trigger. It was all white..Looking superb in the showroom. Tried it..Oh typical honda smoothness.Came back home and went through a few reviews..All were positives..Thought for a while...The more i asked myself my inner self told me to go for honda again.Went to the showroom within 2 days . It was august 2014. Bought it straight away in white (this time no loan??). They took just 2 hours to get all done. The white was not ready with them. The behavior and entire process was good.Riding experience:A honda is a honda always . That butter smooth feeling. But i felt , my old unicorn was really butter cream smooth. But this one had a bit more punch. So relaxing it was , at times i started taking optional longer routes to home.....Just for sheer more ride time.....It was my way of getting relaxed after a hectic day.Make your child fall in love with motorcycles.....He wont have the time to fall for drugs.Superb handling . Superb mileage. Headlight power was not adequate for my night drive along nh117. Fixed two led focused lights. Brakes are perfect. I majorly drive around 50kmph mark. Occasionally to unwind , my white rabbit touches 80kmph mark. In both the cases brakes are just perfect ( no cbs ). Getting approx 55kmpl after 25k kms(tank full reserve method). The mileage did not deteriorate after these 4 long years. One thing i must admit :Honda pours soul into their engines. They make life easy. service experience:After 3 yrs and around 18k kms my trigger started giving heating issues. After running for approx 15 kms the engine started releasing so much heat that it was really uncomfortable for the legs. My past experience came haunting me. Is it again time for a new motorcycle?? oh not again!...As i do my regular service from authorized service centre, thought of giving it atleast one visit and try out my fatigued hope.. They patiently understood my problem and wanted 3-4 working days to fix the problem. My machine was allotted to a guy, he is the senior mechanic. He again listened to me. Next day i got a call from them saying my white rabbit is ready. My god ! what has he done to my motorcycle engine. It was like i was driving a new one just out of showroom. And cost was a barely rs22.00. Labour charge was free as i had an amc done with them. He didn't even need to change the engine oil. Thanks shah honda for recruiting such wonderful guys. Thanks from the bottom of my heart. And another thing i must say these guys at shah honda never ever cons you with unnecessary change of parts. After that i have rode for 7k kms but that problem never reoccurred. Enjoying every bit of time i spend with my trigger. Thanks for bearing with me all through this long emotional experience of my ride life.No road is too long.....If you have a good company.Drive and ride safe ...So that you can drive or ride the next time. Take care. Stay happy.

I use motul full synthetic engine oil and drain it within 1500kms. Service it regularly from authorized service center. Add castrol 2t per 3ltrs of petrol after every 3 months .this is to avoid any starting issues which are generally associated with high mileage giving motorcycles from honda stable.. Ride safe. Thanks you everyone.

Buying experience was good. Not something to indulge in. Submitted the money, sleepless night, delivery on next day. I rode my father's splendor back home while my dad rode the trigger. Once home, i slowly started to ride and tame this beauty and what a bike it is. It has been over 3 years and and around 15k kms on this bike and i am rather speechless. It's such an awesome mechanical marvel. Very smooth and nimble and very agile. Direction changes are a child's play and the engine is a gem. Regularly got my bike serviced for the first two years from the hsc but love to do it myself now. By the way, i have started using motul 5100 and it has made the bike unassailable quick and swift
