It will always be a legend
Most refined ,sweetest sounding, most comfortable sports tourer
Please launch this bike again with bs6 engine and updated speedometer
    Keep the same engine
    Keep the same design
    A bigger 15L tank
    Add slipper clutch
    Add combi abs
Add detailed instrument console with gear indicator, fuel economy, distance to empty, 2 trip meters etc.

  • A great stallion honda cbr 250r which deserved a fighting chance !!!

    Sandeep Gorai

    1. Buying experience: i had booked the re continental gt and the next day purchased the cbr250r as i couldn't. The bike was delivered in a day's time and i haven't regretted a single day till now.

    2. Riding experience & 3. Details about looks, performance etc:

just 37500 kms young while writing this review, came back from 3800 kms trip. This beast can carry two people and their luggage without braking your bank and your back all day long at triple digit speeds.

    4. Servicing and maintenance: mostly hassle-free experience, had issues with some part but in about 3 years, such issues are negligible.

Service cost around rs 1500-2500 for each service.

Service interval: 6000kms(but i know people who have run about 10k kms without servicing).

    5. Pros and cons:

    Pros:

    Bullet-proof engine.

Comfortable in city traffic and out on the highway at triple digit speeds without breaking a sweat.

Incredible build quality: had to leap on crater-size potholes at high speeds without issue(not that i will suggest to do often). Great plastic quality, fairing can survive some pretty heavy falls.

Pretty good ground clearance and torque of engine can help conquer all speed breakers and lil-bit of off-roading.

Great spread of headlight for night rides and over-average wind protection

Although no mechanical update in 5 years, still can keep up with newbies in the market today.

Jack of all trades without any compromise.

    Cons:

Always deserved an update and factory tires could be first thing to change.

    Style

style is not out dated, even after 6 years of its launch

engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox

mileage is best in its class, smooth and cool engine unlike ktm bikes, economic too, not even a single gear slip. Cabs save ur life everytime

    ride quality & handling

handling is pretty good but not as good as ktm rc 390, but ride qulaity is just awesome. No strain or back pain

    final words

would i reccommend it to a friend who is confused between ktm rc390 , r15 and dominar ?

    yes with boths thumbs up

    areas of improvement

console can be updated, the option to turn off abs

    pros

styling , cabs, comfort, engine smoothness,

    cons

no option to turn off abs, haven't updated the console since 2011

well that is the only down side. when you compare with some other bike you feel you pay too much for the spares. especially the brake pads.. which is with the ninja 300 and r3 segment price.

  • An evergreen legend

    Srimonmohandas

Its rare to get but managed to get a used bike with only 13k kms covered. Riding experience is superb and especially backside comfort is excellent. Look wise the bike is so attractive but when come to riding it is heaven. The power delivery is linear but on need it is seldom available after a 5k rpm range. It is a gem that honda ever made, but still confused why they called it back.
