Hi guys, i bought my cbr 150r in 2012. I have been using it off and on ever since. I had always dreamed of owning a honda fireblade and the cbr 150r is an affordable option. The looks are amazing. It has a distinct swag, and heads turn, even to this day, as the cbr passes by. The cbr is not an average daily commuter and must not be used that way. It's racing dna ensures that the bike itches for higher speeds and torque. The ideal places for using the bike are on long straight highways as a lone rider. Sharp turns or frequent braking are not it's forte. Driving with a pillion is also a hassle as the increased weight will reduce the maneuverability of the bike. With due care the honda engine will serve you beautifully. There is no fixed mileage after which a servicing would be required but an oil change every 1500km should be enough. Overall it's a solid baseline performer with stunning looks and a must have for every fireblade lover. Happy riding!!!

    1. I am always a pulsar lover I had a Rs200. But I think to buy a CBR 250R for its refined engine and less vibration. But it was a big disaster to me.
    2. While I am ride this bike my wrist got pain in within 5 minutes for its handle vibration. When I rev this bike I think I rev a splender not a 250cc engine. This is not a rev happy bike like pulsar or any other sports bike. Being a 250 cc engine it can touch only 145km/h. But being a 200cc my pulsar RS200 can touch 146km/h easy. Everybody says that bajaj's gearbox is bad it sometime stuck when you up or down shift your gear. I also agree with them. If bajaj's gearbox is bad then CBR250r's gearbox is worst. It always stuck. I went for a long ride with my cbr around 400km. My left leg is getting pain for its gear stuck. In city I got 23kmpl.
    3. In looks its very eye-catching. But I think it is outdated.
    4. Pros. Road presence
Cons. All things you think are cons.

Beware it’s just the name honda sells in india not a quality product or service now a days.I am already a victim of this, so just sharing my experience. Most of the ownership reviews you find online are for older editions which make you fall for cbr250r if you like refinement. So does most of the bike rental services like wicked ride or drivezy have older 2016-17 editions and they are awesome to experience. That was my validation & research before i bought the cbr on may 10th 2019. (cbr 250r sep 2018 manufactured)Issues i faced from day 1 of bike delivery are:1.Heavy engine vibrations due to slipped engine mount bolts also they replaced rocker arm, cam, shims & sprocket set to address overall vibrations. 2.Handle wobbling between 70-80 kmph, they replaced cone set assembly and didn’t resolve the issue. It seems they are defective tyres, they replaced rear tyre still issue not resolved.3.Metal clicking noise from frames and under tank. Issue was addressed by applying foam tape between frame (chassis) and tank and side body panels.4.Asc damaged radiator during water wash- which they had to replace after a fight proving their incompetence. Most of the new bs4 cbrs have these vibrations issues just check any cbr forum on fb or online.. In a nutshell you might be lucky to get a good unit. However, ascs service competence is crap. You will suffer with their trial and error method of fixing issues. They trust in your patience to cover their incompetence. My 79 days old cbr250 r spent 30 days in ascs - 8 attempts - still handle wobbling issue is not fixed.Hmsi blr regional head is also aligned for this since 3 weeks for last 3 attempts.

Hello friends, how are you all doing? today i am going to share with you the review of 2018 cbr 250r and this is not going to be a bookish knowledge about the various number rather the real one year ownership experience of the bike with above 7000 kms on odometer.Performance: it has smooth delivery of power and every gear has enough punch. Moderate engine heating in traffic which kind of usual for this kind of bikes. Much stable, noise and vibration free in high speeds as well.Color scheme: initially i was confused between the green/orange and red/yellow variants. Luckily i took the yellow and trust me guys it has more road presence than the green/orange. But it’s up to you, if you want to ride a decent color bike you can go for green/orange with black combination. Anyway the new graphics has given a brand new look to the cbr with added advantage of led lights.Seats and posture: seats are very comfortable for both rider and pillion. I ride almost 60 kms every day without any issue. As a sports tourer, seating posture not too much aggressive. Here is the trick, for daily commute you can seat little near to tank and if you want aggressive ride then you can shift back for better ergonomics. I get little wrist numbness after riding in bumper to bumper traffic but i believe that’s ok if you change the posture and hold tight the tank with the thighs.Brakes: i have the dual channel abs version and they do the job very well. Tire: initially i was very happy to see some international brand (contigo from continental) tires on my bike. They are good but not great, you have to be careful on wet roads as they slip sometime. Planning to switch to michelin once i am done 20k kilometers or so.Suspension: before buying the bike, i read somewhere the suspension is low and we have to watch out for speed bumps with pillion on. But never faced that with rider and pillion combined weight up to 135 kgs.Mileage: now everybody is going to be interested in this. I get 35-36 kmpl if i ride between 5000-6000 rpm in moderate city traffic. It would be 2 kms higher in highways but difficult to maintain that rpm range in highways. So you need to decide what you want fun or fuel economy.Servicing cost: i have done 3 free servicing so far and the cost is 1000 to 1200 each time witch is pretty decent. I’ll update once i have done a paid servicing. Make sure to lubricate your chain every 1000 kms and read the tire pressure specification. Its 29 in both tires without pillion and with pillion 29 in front and 33 in rear.Things that i don’t like and please remember these are not going to be a deal breaker.1. If you are in top gear and suddenly you have to break then you need to make sure that you lower gear to 2nd before you come to complete stop otherwise shifting gears later on will be a problem. Note sure if other users have noticed this.2. Small front mud guard going to make you wet and muddy during rain but please remember it’s a sports bike not a commuter but can be used like one. 3. No hinges in fuel tank, seriously, yes. Its missing and each time you need to hold the cap while fueling.4. Only one trip meter and why not 2-3 like other 2.5 lakhs worth bikes.5. Lack of accessories availability: as this model kind of… i’ll not say dated but you don’t see much new bikes like other new lunches. So you will find challenges in getting accessories like frame slider, radiator guard etc. You may have to make custom ones. 6. Lack of service station and technician: not all honda service station does servicing for cbr so you may have to ride to far one from your home. This is tough for me as there are two near my home either side but none of them does cbr servicing. I read some reviews where other users have experienced spare parts non availability in small cities but i can’t comment on it at this moment.7. Mirror style outdated, self-explanatory with oval mirrors.8. Hazard light missing, when honda’s lower end model like hornet and xblade has it.Now the final verdict is if you need a well-tuned, versatile bike which can be used for touring, commuting and racing with the assurance of honda then please go for it. I have seen many new bikes which faces lot of problem with abs not working, chain sprocket issue etc but trust me i have not faced a single issue in last one year. With same or lessor price tag, you may get a bike with more advanced technology, higher bhp and torque but you will need to spend a lot to keep that in good condition ahead.

honda is one of the company to provide with racing and new technology with their bike which is great but still it is not value for money.

I never owned this bike and will not ever I will purchase it because I am very disappointed with honda. they are selling the cbr fireblade- looking 250r in foreign countries. and what they gave, the same old with leds and new colour scheme. What Honda! you became a scooter brand. I was a big fan of honda when i was in my childhood. but they stopped making new updates on their motorcycle. they would say like "Indians don't deserve such good motorcycle, lets give them same old bike and milking them forever."

Always wanted this bike cause of its legendary history and classic look. So wondering whether to purchase a pre-owned awesome looking bike or new 2018 version with leds and new graphics. The only issue is that its price competes not ktm 200 series bikes but ktm 390 series ones. No doubt it’s going to be worth whether new model or the old one. Will write a detailed review after using the bike for a while.
