Honda unicorn 160 CBS is not a complete bike in this price range. It gives me only less than 40 kmpl mileage even after riding in 40-50km/hr in good road. I used it for 15 months. Gear shifting issue is also a big problem. After achieving the speed greater than 90 km/hr, byke started to vibrated and the engine sounds very badly. Over all, I am not recommending this bike to a new buyer.

It gives me constantly a mileage of 30 km/l since 2018. I owned this bike doing timely service through authorized service station. Using Honda fully synthetic engine oil every 1000 km in 6 months but mileage never got better what to do and company says mileage of 64 km/l how can I even get a mileage of 50kmpl.

Its given me a classic sporty looks, also a good mileage as compared to other 160/150 cc bikes. I am very much comfortable while riding (my riding range 55 - 82km/hr). Its sleek design gives a healthy looks and perfection. Always gives perfect ground clearance. No vibration up to 107km/hr(that was my top speed). Also the maintenance is very much economy as compared to other bikes in same configurations. My review is after riding 14000km. So i am strongly recommending this bike. I am giving full mark

Style the style is not upto the expectation.

Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox engine performance is very good & fuel economy is not which i expected gears are little hard.

Ride quality & handling riding is awesome & while coming to the handling part its skiding while applying back brakes.

Final words nice bike for daily city riding.

  • Unicorn-160 game changer commuter led down by attitude

1.Buying experience:I bought honda-unicorn 160 cbs model on 2016 from the dealer in coimbatore. The experience was pathetic as they not delivered vehicle at said time, even after full payment. The visor came with the bike was not authentic as they said that is original. Its all starts with bad experience only.2.Riding experience:The bike has comfortable riding position, the long drive and city commute are comfortable. I am using it for daily commute past three years. The seat cushioning must be improved, it feels stiffer in continuous usage even after extra cushion layered. It gives an average of 45-48 kmpl mileage.3.Look and performance:The sharp look makes it bold with aggressive headlamps and neat design, which appeals for youngsters as well family men.The tail lamp is unique design adding to the overall design.4.Servicing and maintenance:In a single word, the after sale service is "pathetic & horrible". Very bad experience with the service irrespective of the dealer as i have visited four authorized service centers in my area ranging from established firms to newly started dealers, all are on same mindset as they aim to make profit selling spares and parts. Even if i accept for their so called "expert opinion" which most of them don't posses, they learn with my vehicle by engaging new joinees and once out of service station i will definitely faced some other problem. In these years i have spent more than 15000 for service and maintenance. I have traveled 48000 kms, changed my rear tyres, spark plug twice, air filter four times, chain sprocket once, brake shoes, battery, engine oil as recommended. The combi braking system is not as i expected. I am facing variety of issues which led me to change piston, disk, oil driving piston but still i have issues like noise at a particular point which not rectified by the expert people in service centre and they didn't have proper instrument to look into issues related to it. The painting is not up to the standard of honda, other than engine block all the steel parts develops rust in the warranty period itself.I made a complaint regarding it they just for the sake called me and close the issue. The plastic are so under quality as it becomes black colour to grey in a year .5.Pros: Honda brand is plus Design, Riding position. Cons: Service, Build quality, Average mileage, Customer service, Quality of the plastic and steel used, Poor customer satisfaction, Aggressive attitude by the service centre people, Un knowledgeable service persons.

  • Unicorn 160 bs3 is worst bike

    Vijay Shekar

Buying experience : the dealers will be dying to sell the bike, i fell for that

Riding experience : riding this bike is one of the worst experience i ever had . This bike has serious problem with the gear shift. The up shift is fine but stuck during down shift. This problem will have you, during rides and traffic .

Detail looks and performance : looks are ok not so great, performance is not good though the manufacturer claim the mileage to be 62km but it only gives 40km.

Servicing and maintenance: not up to the mark .

Pro and cons : no pros only cons .

The basic gear shifting does not work properly

    I regret buying this bike

  • Cb unicorn 160 cbs king of city pawn on the highway

    Aamod Joshi

I wanted to buy my first bike. I was a 125 cc scooter user, so wanted a better cc bike. I had options of gixxer, apache, hornet and unicorn 160. I took a test drive of all the three, and finalized unicorn 160 cbs.

    The performance

The performance from engine is good. Throttle response is good, and you wont find it dull, even riding on open city roads. Even in stop and go traffic, the bike feels nice and quick to move. It quickly reaches to 70s and being a cbs version, braking is absolute perfect. While riding in city, you never feel the bike is out of control.

But, when it comes to highways rides, the story is not that sweet. Though the speed reaches triple digits and stays for long time, you tend to get lot of turbulence. The handle bar get vibrations. Wind turbulence is massive. Leads to lose the confidence over the bike. A light-weight is a disadvantage here. Tyres are thinner to give required stability to bike for triple digit ride. In the end, you are forced to reduce it to 90s. Its not a fault of engine. Engine is capable, but other components don't co-operate.

    Comfort

The best part is mono-suspension. It literally absorb the bumps and wont let you feel them. It keeps the ride handling extremely comfortable.

When it comes to sitting, i would be unsatisfied about it. I feel the cushion could be more comfortable. A little lengthy ride will give your bum good amount of soar. Though i am a healthy person having triple digit weigh, i found other bike seats more comfortable than this one.

Else, ride position is good. Thought it looks bit aggressive, its totally comfortable, and you never feel the weight is on your shoulder.

    Economy

Honda claims it to be 62 kmpl economy for this. But, i experienced between 45-49. And i am happy about it. On highways, it gives around 52-55. But, again, it all depends upon your driving style.

    Overall:

Perfect city bike. Cbs and mono suspension are best features offered by bike. Its a bit costly for what it offers.

If you are strictly city commuter, then go for this one. But if you enjoy some highway rides too, then consider its sibling, cb hornet.

If you are strictly city commuter, then go for this one. But if you enjoy some highway rides too, then consider its sibling, cb hornet.
