Bought this scooter in the year 2012. Driven it for more than 65,000 kms. I am in the process of getting a new scooter (inclined towards suzuki access 125). I'm not gonna brief about the looks, since it is very subjective.1. Powertrain - one thing about honda is their engine reliability and you do not have to worry about any niggles as far as powertrain is concerned. I am getting an average of 35-40 kmpl - mix of city & highway. It won't make you crazy whilst twisting the throttle. It does its job of commuting from point a to point b.2. Metal body - no squeak/rattling noise from the metal body. Yes there were minor scratches, dents whilst parking in the malls, railway stations but it had endured all these without much fuss.3. Suspension & drivability - suspension is a big let down. Comfort on both single person commute & pillion commuting will not last more than15 kms. Every time you hit a pothole / speedbump, you have to decelerate considerably, then twist the throttle to make up the lost ground. Puny front shock absorbers need to be changed to maintain whatsoever comfort is provided by the vehicle. Pillion comfort too is not that appreciable to say the least.4. Wheels & tires - currently nearing the end of 3rd set on rear and 2nd set on front. Michelin has been the standout performer of the different sets tried out. Other tire sets tried - mrf (oe fitted) & tvs. Never tried ceat, since many colleagues of mine reported lack of grip5. Servicing and maintenance - honda service centers are pathetic. Once my 4 free services were done, i had the scooter serviced by my neighborhood mechanic. Maintenance costs on an average will not be more than inr 800/- i had incurred a maximum of inr 2500 during 50,000 km service in which v-belt & few other parts got changed. Maintenance is usually hassle-free. Do change your scooter engine oil @ every 2500km and air filter @ 5000kmThough this scooter served me well, without making me stranded on any roads in all these years, i believe honda for the steep price point they demand for their scooters (bs6 versions) begin to infuse more practical & performance oriented commuter products in the years to come. For this very reason, i'm not wiling to go for another honda product as my next choice.. People in chennai, are looking for options other than activa. You can find other manufacturer scooters donning the roads which is not the case 5 years back. Yet, if you are looking for your first scooter, you can opt for honda purely for its reliability and fuss-free experience.
