We bought this bike at a reasonable price in the year 2009 with a hassle-free registration process.
This gives us 13 years of experience using this bike and we still use it.
No body pain experienced till now. Best travel buddy in 125 cc segment.
This bike comes with a decent look and very good performance.
Maintenance is easy with reasonable service charges.
Pro's:- a very high mileage bike.
No body pain even if we drive longer distances.
Headlamps are really good during the night.
Cons:- after 3 years of use. The bike shakes after 70kmph. But can be resolved with regular servicing.
I strongly recommend this bike to everyone.
Especially middle-class people.

This is a very good bike for the entry level or learner. Its fuel as well as pocket friendly bike. In city it give mileage of 50 kms and on highways 55-60 kms. For daily commuting its really best bike. As i said its for all purpose, because i am using it for daily commuting, long ride, carrying heavy weight, so its multi purpose. Riding quality of this bike is really good. You have comfortable riding position also for pillion rider. A seat of bike is good in length, handling quality is also good. Company offers combi brake system that provide great stopping power with more stability. For look i will rate it 3.5 out of 5 because it doesn't have sporty look. Regarding power you will never feel lack on city road but on highways you will miss 5th gear, because after 60 you will feel stress on engine but not much vibration. I myself completed 28000 kms in 2.5 years but doesn't have any major problem yet. Always use oil of grade 10w30, recommended by honda. Any other oil you can but it will not give guarantee of desire mileage. Motul 5100 10w30 is the best engine oil for this bike. Never run this bike above 70 kms, it will go but your engine will die very soon. Bike have very low maintenance cost, but spare parts of honda are costly compared to other brands like bajaj and hero. Always drain out oil after 2000 kms for long engine life and change air filter after every 5000 kms. Lets see what are the pros and cons of this bike

Pros:Its honda and trusted for many years but now with degraded quality.Cons:1. Bike vibrates above 50km/hr speed. If you are thinking for more distance travel > 10km then buy another bike.2. Bike chassis started rusting within a month 3. Speedo meter pointer vibrates between 20 to 40 km/hr range 4. Suspension is not so good to absorb the normal Indian road condition 5. Gear box is having some problem(its with honda only. Confirmed with service center person). gear does not shift properly every time when we start from standing position of bike on traffic signal. Need to push front or pull back for gear fitting.6. Plastic used is of not good quality. Within a month, my bike's side plastic buffer internal lock broke and i was asked for money for same at service center. 7. This bike is not made for more than 50km/hr then i did not understand that why honda has given speedometer upto 140km/hr( that is joke actually)8. I will suggest to take personal ride for 2 to 3 times for speed you need and then choose your bike as for normal Indian its huge amount to be invested about 80k to 90k inr.9. For three free servicing, oil change is compulsory (560inr*3 times) for full 2 year engine warranty. so consider this amount also while buying bike.Try Indian bikes like bajaj, mahindra.(i got caught by honda shine fame.

After purchase this bike got starting problem within just 1 month also oil leakage from oil change button/bolt

Pickup problem in engine, earlier used bajaj discover 125 for 06 years as compare to bajaj discover performance this doesn't stand at all!!!

So for new user or new purchaser please do not ever purchase this model especially also service centre are for business purpose only which will make unnecessary bill to generate their revenue only, they do not believe in customer satisfaction at all

Style according the style was good to compare all other 125 cc bikes.

Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox performance wise ok but the mileage is not give what the company assured. Right now i get 46kmpl only, the garebox was noicy, the service is also not good. I baught this bike in aug 2015 at annanda honda bangalore. Quality wise very worst compare to 2014 model. I think the parts are changed by showroom guys for new bikes.

Ride quality & handling i have the problem with handling, it gives some shake when we are at 60, but after 2nd service it was resolved.

Final words the company reduces the quality on parts. If you want to buy this bike only means, look at only trusted show rooms. Other wise go for hero or tvs bikes or even suziki also good.

Areas of improvement quality of parts, gearebox, mileage. My message for company is - "please don't blame the customers, it you blame in feature we can't sell atleast 10 bike per showroom."

When i was a student. I need to take the bus everywhere i go. It was very time taking. And by using public transport i can never get there in time. So my dad gifted me cb shine on my birthday. I loved that bike by the looks. I just love that bike. It was a very overwhelming experience. I can be anywhere in no time. Mileage is the best part. I can get 60kmpl mileage in city traffic. The engine is very efficient for 125cc bike. I can't tell less about the acceleration. It's like riding a sportbike. Seating is very comfortable for a long ride. By the time of buying till now, i use cb shine for long tours. I will never forget this amazing experience that took place in my life. Braking is powerful i choose drum brake so it is effective. Can't say about disc brake. By the look, cb shine is the best bike in street bike range. Last but not least bike silencer has the perfect meaning of silence. Nobody knows you after you drive pass by them. I give overall 8/10. Maintaining shine is somewhat costly. I have to replace the chain and sprocket by every fixed km. Engine head cover leaks after driving more than 60kmph for a very long time. Pros: mileage, acceleration, load-carrying capacity, stylish, lightweight, smaller turning radius. Cons: engine vibration at higher speed, wheel gear maintenance.

since I'm a college goer I was searching for an official look bike with a good mileage . so I considered honda CB shine ,honda shine sp , hero glamour and TVS Victor . I didn't considered cc of the bike my priority was a decent look , best mileage, comfort and engine smoothness bike . I rejected glamour as there are two hero glamour the old model and the new model , the old model glamour is too heavier and its claimed mileage is 55kmpl and the newer one was not a good selling compared to the old model glamour . Then i considered TVS victor though the new victor is having good sporty look with amazing features like 60w headlamp , led drl, hazard light and gives a big bike feel while riding but due to poor resale value I rejected TVS victor . Then I considered to buy honda shine sp as I know it was a good bike having the same engine of cb shine the only difference was shine sp is a sporty in look and a 5gear bike suits for a college goer . I went to nearby Honda showroom to book shine sp . At the showroom when i was seeing shine sp I noticed that cb shine was more attracting when compared to shine sp the new cb shine is having more silver garnish which enhances the look of the bike . so I changed my mind from shine sp to cb shine and I booked cb shine disc CBS top variant model . the riding experience in my cb shine was excellent no noise in the engine smooth riding experience and it was easy to drive it in the city but In highway the bike becomes very easy to drive and gives an excellent mileage compared to city riding . the claimed mileage of cb shine is 65kmpl but I'm getting 57kmpl that's good for an 125CC commuter bike.
