My Toughts on Honda Hornet

Okay, so I finally got to sea the CB 1000 Hornet in the flesh. First thing, they did a good job. Way better looking than the old one, which looked kinda sleepy. This new one is aggressive, like it wants to buy something. The design is sharp, especially that new headlight unit. Looks like a proper streetfighter, not just a standard naked bike.The power? It's a literbike engine, so yeah, it's fast. Probly too fast for the streets, but that's the point, innit? It pulls like a trane. Not the biggest numbrs in the class, but who really uses 200 hp on the road, except for dumies. It's got plenty of tourque where you need it—right in the mid-range for overtaking. It's smooth, like a Honda engine should be, but with a nice raspy sound when you hit the revs.Handling feals tight. The suspention looks good, and it truns quick. Good for city stuff and weekend blasts. You can feel the new frame is stifer and the weight feals low. That new single-sided swingarm is gone, which is a shame for looks, but I guess it helps keep the cost down, which is smart. My one complaint is the dash... it's a bit small for such a big bike. Honda needed to make the display a little mor premium.Overall, a solid, good-looking naked bike. If you want a fun, realiable, and preety fast machine that doesn't brake the bank (compared to the Europian ones), this is a serios contender. A definite thumbs up from me. Now, if only the wait list wasn't so long.

CB1000 is street-friendly and usable. The Fireblade SP is extremely perfect for track warriors, but overkill for daily use.Choose the Fireblade SP only if you’re a hardcore enthusiast or track rider who wants the absolute best Honda has to offer in racing technology.Feel: Agile yet stable; some owners note a bit of midrange dip, remediable via ECU flash; rear shock is adequate but not stellar

Ohlins and Showa, coupled with braking power that is phenomenal with Brembo-style calipersAll of this is based on the reliability of Honda and pricing cheaper than Triumph.By the way, the inline 4 is a true symphony for earsAs a motorcycle enthusiast, if this bike doesn't make you drool, are you even a moto petrol head?
