(4.5/5) – A True Value-for-Money 250cc Bike!I've been riding the Hero Xtreme 250R for a while now, and overall I'm very happy with it. Pros- Performance: Below 70 km/h it's smooth and comfortable. But once you cross 70 km/h, the bike completely transforms—it's fast, stable, and extremely fun to ride.- Road Presence: Outstanding! People often mistake it for a KTM Duke 250 because of its aggressive design. It's a real head-turner.- Mileage: I'm getting around 37–40 km/l in city traffic and 45–50 km/l on highways when riding between 80–100 km/h, which is excellent for a 250cc bike.- Exhaust Sound: After the first service, the exhaust note becomes deeper and sportier. It has a pure, powerful sound that you'll enjoy.- Features: The fully digital instrument cluster is excellent. The built-in navigation (GPS) is one of my favorite features and works really well.- Headlight: Good in normal conditions and performs exceptionally well on dark roads.- High-Speed Stability: The bike feels planted and confidence-inspiring at highway speeds.Cons- Seat Height: I'm 5'5" (165 cm) and can manage it comfortably. Riders below 5'4" (163 cm) should test ride before buying, as it may feel a bit tall.- Brake Pads: The stock brake pads are average. Upgrading to good-quality aftermarket brake pads noticeably improves braking performance.- Vibrations: There are slight vibrations below 60 km/h, but once you go above that, the bike becomes very smooth.- Engine Heat: The bike produces some heat in city traffic, but that's completely normal for a 250cc liquid-cooled engine.Final VerdictIf you're looking for a stylish, feature-packed, powerful 250cc motorcycle with great mileage and strong highway performance, the Hero Xtreme 250R is an excellent choice. It offers fantastic value for money and is one of the best bikes in its segment.

HONEST REVIEW

Sach bolun toh maine jabse Hero Xtreme 250R li hai, mera riding experience bilkul change ho gaya hai. Pehle mujhe laga shayad ye sirf dikhne mein acchi hogi, par chalane ke baad samajh aaya ki iska 250cc ka engine kitna tagda hai. City ke traffic mein toh ye bahut light aur handle karne mein easy lagti hai, aur jaise hi khali road milti hai, iski power delivery aur pick-up ekdum thrill wali feel deti hai. Iska jo aggressive look hai, log raste mein mud-mud kar dekhte hain, jo ek rider ke liye bahut proud wali baat hoti hai. Service aur maintenance ke मामले mein Hero pe bharosa hai hi, toh pocket pe bhi extra load nahi padta. Agar aapko ek aisi bike chahiye jo style, power aur comfort ka perfect balance ho, toh bina soche Xtreme 250R le lo, maza aa jayega!

A Bike Which Leads to Happiness

I am in love with this bike, I mean, if you look at its design and structure, wow, definitely one of the best designs in the 250cc segment and performance, it's the most performing bike in 250cc. Hero service experience is good and also not that expensive. Crazy bike in the segment. Can work more on the rear suspension bit. But this overall package is something what a rider needed.

Best Bike in 2Lakh.

A short intro about me, A student in DYP and a big fan of all kinds off bikes, wanted to buy my first bike, my height is-5.5feets. Needed a bike for daily city ride and weekend rides. I have been looking a bike for along time and suddenly hero launched this bike in some event and was madly in love with the looks. Expected the bike to big soo avoid it. but when i saw it in showroom i loved it took multiple test drives of the bike and finally decided to buy it even when there were many videos telling its not a great bike and some issues. In the first month of the bike i drove it under 5k RPM and it gave me mindblowing mileage of 40KMPL(approx). Then after first service of the bike i drove it hard. first major trip was of 300km(Pune- Aravi beach- Pune) . Then later on did a long trip of 400km with a pillion. Pillion had a bit of a buttache. As the driver no issues. But all of not well and good, my biggest fear of knocking noise came in but understood its some issues with sim(no idea what that is). and a small oil sweepage. But i had my 2nd service just around the corner soo waited. no major oil leak happened. only 50ml of oil lost in one month. In second service the problem was solved of oil seepage but the SIM issues is still there and will be fixed in sometime(said by service centre). I would say its a great bike for people who want to travel and need to drive daily. Its a eye catcher, people tend to come and ask abut the bike. there is panel gaps in some places. but if u r ready to skip some flaws in this bike and u care of ur bike then this is one of the best options out there.

Best bike in the 250cc segment
Aryan Khade
I’ve owned this bike for one month now, and so far, I haven’t faced any issues. In my opinion, this is one of the best 250cc bikes you can buy within a ₹2 lakh budget. There are a few minor quality issues, but nothing major—they’re manageable. When you look at the power and pricing, this bike offers excellent value for money. In fact, performance-wise, it can even compete with more expensive machines like the KTM Duke 250.The design is another big plus point. The bike looks aggressive and premium, which makes it stand out everywhere. Wherever you go, you’ll definitely get public attention. People often ask about the bike and are shocked when they hear the price. It truly feels like a steal deal. Everyone gets impressed—it’s definitely a crowd-puller.The only downside I’ve noticed is mileage. Since I mostly ride in city traffic, I’m getting around 25 km/l, which is a bit low for a 250cc bike. However, it’s manageable considering what you get in return—power, looks, road presence, and overall performance. So compromising a bit on mileage feels worth it.Overall, I can confidently say that you won’t regret buying this bike.Thank you—this was my genuine review of the Xtreme 250R.

The bike delivers great performance and looks really good, and it handles well on the road, also has good road performance. The big downside is build quality and after-sales service: the clutch cable snapped before 1,000 km, the service centre broke my side mirror, they didn’t replace parts that were due at the third service, and the managers were rude. So factor maintenance and service quality into your decision before buying.

My brother has this bike and bang it touches 100, so normally where you don't even feel that yoy are at high speed, but yes people's concern over engine was good but my bike hasn't faced any problem like this so your bike has been good till now. But it can do better in the service centre if they behave well don't know why they this much of an attitude but if talk about bike, then it is undoubtedly best in this segment and it's a Hunter 350 killer too.

Hero Xtreme 250R is an excellent bike with stylish looks and strong performance. The engine is smooth, the pickup is very good, and the riding comfort is excellent for both city and highway use. Mileage is decent for a 250cc bike, and maintenance cost is reasonable. Brakes and suspension give good confidence and stability. Overall, it is a value-for-money bike and a great choice in this segment.

I think it would be even better if its pillion seat height were a little lower and comfort. The company should work on this. Moreover, you feel very confident to ride in the mountains because of its heavy, powerful engine. I don't have any issues with this bike but the pillion seat becomes very hard for you.

Good bike

I think it would be even better if its pillion seat height were a little lower and comfort. The company should work on this. Moreover, you feel very confident to ride in the mountains because of its heavy, powerful engine. I don't have any issues with this bike but the pillion seat becomes very hard for you.

Fastest 250 CC

Powerful, Stylish and Comfortable Bike for Daily & Highway Use
25 weeks ago
Bhukya Ravinder
Hero Xtreme 250R is an excellent bike with stylish looks and strong performance. The engine is smooth, the pickup is very good, and the riding comfort is excellent for both city and highway use. Mileage is decent for a 250cc bike, and maintenance cost is reasonable. Brakes and suspension give good confidence and stability. Overall, it is a value-for-money bike and a great choice in this segment.
