I’ve been riding the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V for a while now, and I must say, this bike has exceeded my expectations. The engine feels super smooth with great pickup, and the 4-valve setup makes city rides effortless and highway cruising enjoyable. The lightweight design makes it very easy to handle in traffic, while the USD forks and mono-shock give excellent stability.

The average of the Xtreme 160R 4V is 45 , as per the owners of the bike.

I have been riding the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V for over a month now, and I must say this bike has truly impressed me in more ways than one. From daily commutes to weekend rides, this machine has proven itself to be a reliable and enjoyable companion on the road.First and foremost, the comfort level on this bike is outstanding. The riding posture is well-suited for long rides as well as short city trips, and you never feel fatigued even after extended hours in the saddle. The handling is incredibly easy and responsive, which makes navigating through busy city traffic an absolute breeze. It is, without a doubt one of the most city-friendly bikes available in its segment. The braking performance deserves a special mention. Whether you are riding at high speeds or crawling through traffic, the brakes respond sharply and inspire great confidence. You always feel in control, which is reassuring especially in unpredictable city conditions.I recently had my first servicing done, and the experience at the service center was equally pleasant. The staff was courteous, professional, and very helpful throughout the entire process, which added to my overall satisfaction with the Hero brand. One of the standout features of this bike is its riding mode, which is a brilliant addition especially for beginner riders. It intelligently helps control the throttle response, allowing new riders to build confidence gradually without feeling overwhelmed by the power. However, the one area where I feel the bike falls short is the side mirrors. They could be better designed in terms of visibility and finish. It is a minor drawback but worth noting.Overall, the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is an excellent choice, especially for beginners. Highly recommended

Can't trust the electronic system of the bike. Within 1 month of uses the bike headlight and indicators are not working. Not reliable. I don't worry about anything else but this is too important. The headlight is sensor-based, and it is not turning on in night, if it had happened during a night ride, then it would have been a nightmare. Never buy bike with too many electronics..

I think the bike is almost perfect but i think the bike is make for city ride because with the light weight and very good 0 to 60 the bike can go around 120 but after 100 it's fell not same as its 0 to 60 but for city ride you don't need that much top end the bike is good but i only done 1 service but it's not the best but ok some people don't like the headlight design but for me it's ok the tank make the bike feel bike seat height is also ok I'd your 5.5 to 5.6 you can handle the bike gerar shifting is good so far i owner a here bike before after sometime the 2 Gera stock something but not same with this in my opinion if you want sporty bike and your going to ride in city this is perfect

Hero Xtreme: First Bike Love, Thoda Vibe, Thoda Rust
13 weeks ago

This was my first bike, so obviously, full emotions were attached. Daily commuting on the Hero Xtreme was actually fun—easy to ride, comfortable, and mileage around 44 kmpl, which honestly felt paisa-vasool at that time. Office, market, random chai rides—no stress at all.City rides were smooth, but once you push it near 100 kmph, bhai… the bike starts struggling. Proper vibrations kick in. Not scary, but definitely noticeable.Big minus: rusting issue. Exhaust rusted badly, and even some under-belly parts started showing rust—looked sad after a few years. The battery also gave up after around 4 years, which was expected but still annoying.Service centre experience? Average types. Sometimes good, sometimes “kal aana” vibes. Nothing great, nothing terrible.Did a couple of 300 km rides here and there—highways, random trips—and honestly, memories were solid. Not a performance monster, not a premium feel, but as a first bike, it taught me riding and gave proper sense of freedom.Overall: simple bike, decent mileage, some flaws—but first bike nostalgia hits different

It feels very smooth to ride. Design is awesome but the hero lacks in service quality. Overall, a good bike to consider especially if you don't want to have very common bikes like pulsar. The seat is quite comfortable. The new digital display is awesome with great visibility. Till now I haven't faced any major issue. It looks better than xtreme 125.

After completing 1 year and riding about 12,000 km with my Hero Xtreme 125R, here is my honest reviewThe biggest drawback for me has been the mileage. I get around 45–50 km/l, which is lower than what Hero claims and not very impressive for a 125cc commuter. One of the positives is the seat comfort. The cushioning is good, and both rider and pillion feel comfortable during daily rides. For city use, the sitting posture is relaxed and not tiring. The engine feels smooth in the beginning, but after crossing 10,000 km, I started noticing some issues. The most concerning one is engine oil leakage, which I didn’t expect from a new bike within the first year. Pickup is okay for city use, but not very strong on highways. No doubt, the design and styling are attractive. The LED headlamp, digital console, and sporty body give it a premium feel. Many people still mistake it for a higher-cc bike.Servicing costs are moderate, but because of the oil leakage issue, I had to visit the service centre more often. This has affected my confidence in the bike’s long-term reliability. The Hero Xtreme 125R is a stylish commuter with a comfortable seat and modern features, but mileage is below expectations and the oil leakage issue has been disappointing.Rating: 3.5/5I would recommend it if you mainly want looks and comfort, but if mileage and long-term engine reliability are your priority, you might want to think twice.

Bad electronics

Recently purchased Xtreme 1604v double disc. Overall performance is good... but service experience is not that great, as spare parts are not available at the showroom (Asansol, West Bengal)... Spare not available from the hero supplier. Mileage is about 35kmpl.. overall performance is good. Style and looks very good..

It looks is best in 2026 it also give more colour option in 2026 update now it is first 160cc bike who give cruise control. It design and it looks is now awesome it also provide ride by wire technology. It is a aggressive bike in 160cc bike. The design is really like a heavy bike it reach 0 to 60 in 3.2second it is like a beast

Nice value for money 160cc

It feels very smooth to ride. Design is awesome but the hero lacks in service quality. Overall, a good bike to consider especially if you don't want to have very common bikes like pulsar. The seat is quite comfortable. The new digital display is awesome with great visibility. Till now I haven't faced any major issue. It looks better than xtreme 125.

1 year whole review
