Got this vehicle on Jan 2021 . One year till now,
No problems were faced . Really enjoyed the ride quality and the maintenance is so cheap.
Best in class mileage compared to other 200cc bikes. Has a very catchy looks and the off-road capability is very good. Servicing is done good.
It's churns out more torque at mid ranges. The only con i experienced is the turning radius is too large but that's a very very minor issue.

  • Hero xpulse 200 review from short guy

    Santosh Patil

Buying experience was good.I bought this bike from pratibha motors,pimpri-chinchwad,pune. Sales person really helps me.This is entry level off roader bike.Off road riding experience is very good. I have attend xtracks event held in pune. City riding experience is not that good. Since wheelbase is long you can't ride through traffic. My height is 5.3 so i face some issue with height.Look wise i will give 4.5/5. This bike is attention grabber. Performance is average. Through my 1500 km ride bike never give average above 33kmpl. Servicing is ok. Since many less no. Of bikes are sold only one person from the showroom has knowledge about the servicing of the bike. If he is busy then you can expect late delivery of the bike. Road side mechanics don't have knowledge about the bike. So i would suggest if you have any repair work go to the showroom.Pros:Attention grabber Value for money Budget off-road bike.Cons:It would be good if they provide center stand.Short riders may face some problems while riding.Great bike for highway riding but not good for city riding. Bike heats up during traffic.Pillion seat is not comfortable.Fuel indicator is not 100% accurate.Navigation is not up to the mark.Additional accessories are not available.

Bike is good, but the engine gets hot quickly. Its good for long rides, and has comfortable seating position. Power is enough for those who are switching from 150cc to 200cc. Can easily cruise at 80-90 km/h. Overall good for Indian roads. Headlight illumination is not enough and also seat is quite stiff for long rides.

Its a very good model in this price range especially for off roading , offroading power of this bike is unbelievable. When i ride himalayan i think that himalayan is one and only bike in off road king, but my expectations are totally changed by riding epulse 200 Offroading capacity of this bike is a good one. But some issues are tell by the customers side is its breaking is little slower than other off road bikes Moreover its a good bike in this series Advantages : 1. Very good for offroad 2. Seating comfort is better 3. Getting more mileage than other bikes. Disadvantages: 1. Breaking issue is reported by customers 2. Gear shifting is showing uncomfortable 3.Clutch is little bit tight.

Buying this bike took long time for me to think whether to buy or not, reason being the price , as the price is very low and on internet i saw comparison of xpulse with himalayan and many more and i start thinking why the people are comparing economically affordable bike with that expensive bike , then i decided to take a test drive , nd trust me guys impulse didn't disappointed me at all , yes keeping the price range in mind , you can say xpulse is the less powered version of himalayan . Look is very competitive and it serves it's feature of off road driving , mileage is good , since it's not 125cc bike so mileage above 40 can be considered as economical and if you drive properly you can get even 50+ also , power is bit less but still guys it's worth to it as it's not in the price range of 2 lakh . It's 1.22 lacs and i suggest to go for fi version . Since it belongs to hero then without worrying about service and maintenance you can buy this one as service charges is very less for every bike in hero 600-800 rupees is max at 3rd service . Talking about Pros -best bike in the budget considering it an off road bike-mileage is good as it's 200cc bike-its look no doubt can compete other expensive bikes in this segment of bikes.Cons-power is less but again price matters -built could be better-handling is fine but since the weight is very less it's easy to drive in mountains when you stuck in some pit but on road you feel little less powered. That's all in this review Other reviews are waiting in line for you.

    Ranjith

    1. Buying experience: I can't say excellent but it's ok.
    2. Riding experience: according to my riding experience is good, it has enough power for Indian roads.
    3. Details about looks, performance: looks are good, performance also ok.
    4. Servicing and maintenance: I'm having the worst experience in it where ever you leave for service you will not get any response, for each and every part you should wait for minimum 10-12 days, if you don't have luck like me you should wait for minimum 30 days, no one will say about this.
    5. Pros: good motorbike to raid
Cons: poor build quality, you can not rely on this bike. If the bike stop is nowhere no one will come from hero service. Whatever they say in the showroom everything is lies, I am saying this from my experience with hero service. Never trust this bike because till now my bike is stopped in nowhere 3 times and no one came for help.
Think about this bike once again.

  • Best for Indian roads

I received xpulse 200 bs6 version, as a gift from my wife. Probably the expensive gift I got in my life till date. I have been using the bike since past four to five months now. The experience has been amazing.
I owned royal enfield classic 350 earlier, believe me xpulse 200 is no less than classic 350 in terms of joy you get while riding. In face ride is more comfortable than classic.
Mileage is a big factor in hero bikes and I have been receiving 50 km/l on an average and I am honest on that. Important factor of xpulse is its suspension system, with which you can ride in almost all kinds of roads. I think this bike best suits Indian roads.
Few cons that I could mention is seat is bit on harder side and is too short for pillion rides, so you may feel uncomfortable during long rides.
Little raise in handle bar would have added more joy to the ride. Hero should have considered providing center stand.
Nevertheless, this bike is worth every penny.
