Hero Super Splendor Summary
Hero Super Splendor is a commuter bike available in 2 variants and 5 colours. The Hero Super Splendor is powered by 124.7cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 10.72 bhp and a torque of 10.6 Nm. With both front and rear drum brakes, Hero Super Splendor comes up with combined braking system of both wheels. This Super Splendor bike weighs 122 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12 liters.
The Super Splendor is a more premium, larger displacement version of the Splendor. Hero MotoCorp has powered it with a 125cc engine instead of the conventional 100cc and 110cc motors seen in its younger siblings. The Splendor has been selling steadily for Hero for about two decades now and as a brand, it has been important for the company. It is known for its durability, reliability and fuel efficiency.
Besides the larger displacement engine, the Super Splendor also gets slightly fancier styling over its smaller siblings. Interestingly, while updating it for BS6 compliance, Hero also gave it a subtle cosmetic makeover. Besides restyling the headlamp, bikini fairing, fuel tank, under seat and tail panels, the motorcycle also received new set of decals.
At the time of BS6 transition, the commuter also received changes to its dimensions and cycle parts for more comfort and better stability and handling. The Super Splendor is 2,042mm long, 740mm wide and 1,102mm tall. The wheelbase measures 1,273mm with an impressive ground clearance of 180mm. The bike has a fuel tank that can hold 12 litres of petrol. The kerb weight of the bike is 122kg.
Replacing the previous double cradle frame is a new diamond chassis for improved maneuverability. Riding on 18-inch wheels, the Super Splendor is suspended by telescopic forks and dual shock absorbers while braking is handled by drum brakes at both ends with front disc available as an option.
The Super Splendor is powered by a 125cc, fuel-injected engine that produces 10.73bhp of power at 7,500rpm and 10.6Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. This engine was mated to a four-speed gearbox until Hero updated the bike for BS6 norms when a five-speed gearbox was introduced.
The Super Splendor is available in India in two variants including drum brakes and front disc which boast of electric start as standard. The Super Splendor competes with the Bajaj Discover 125 and the Honda CB Shine.

Luckily I am still alive because when this bike stops as well as self-start also not working even after bought it a week ago, the battery automatically goes to zero charging within 2 days, so I put my bike to the service center for service even though the condition is still worse, very sorry to write this since I bought this bike with a lot of expectations by seeing the advertisement and structure of the bike, now I understood all are vain, service center person says we will check the coil and ignition again, but I lost my hope, so I never recommend or advice anyone to buy super splendor X tec.

The buying experience is amazing because this price is unbelievable bike riding experience is a little bit good because using this does not feel rider but looking and performance wise is awesome service and maintenance are also good being a girl it's very easy to use and I love this bike and amazing and you will go for it.

Super Splender - Full details with pros and cons

I purchased my bike almost 1 year ago. At that time Super Splendor was quite famous. I didn't look for features at that time and purchased my bike for Rs. 82000. But when I rode it the first time I was quite happy and surprised seeing it's a comfortable ride. Its seat is so comfortable. Its head (from the front) is so good as compared to any other bike. It is so good by its look for regular use. It looks amazing if maintained and serviced properly. Its braking system is normal. Its service system is amazing and not so expensive. The staff is also good.I would describe some pros and cons of the bike-Pros- 1) The best bike for daily usage.2) Good-looking formal bike.3) This bike is well known for its fuel efficiency.4) Good mileage5) Super comfortable seat.Cons-1) It needs maintenance at regular intervals otherwise it is not good. (Depends on user)2) Not good if used for traveling long distances.3) Not good for things like overtaking highways.4) It is not so customizable. (For bike lovers)5) Quite expensive

It should be maintained properly if you want to take its full advantage and also change its engine oil at regular intervals as it sometimes affects the mileage of the bike.

I chose this bike on my own by viewing its valuable features and advantages, it gives me smooth riding whenever I ride whether in long or short driving. It has a stunning look that attracts me & a great mileage experience. I had the best experience servicing my bike, cause it always gives me a new look after every servicing!

This bike is really good for daily commuting.This bike gives a mileage of 50 to 60 kmpl.This bike is cheap and the best in the segment.Cons: This bike starts to show problems after 1 year of use like slow pickup, brakes not working properlyThis requires frequent servicing more than usual after 1 year of use.

Oil change for every 2000 to 3000 km. Constant tyre pressure check Chain cleaning for every 500 to 1000km.

Not to mention the amenities, I adored the way the bike in that price range looked. After more than six years of riding, I have had no serious issues with this bike. Particularly in terms of mileage, the performance is optimal in the range. I did a fantastic job of maintaining the book. The top end and pick are mediocre, but the handling is incredibly solid and seamless.
