Low maintenance cost, must buy this bike, fuel efficient bike. Better ride with in city. * a light weight bike with good mileage!!My dad purchased this bike is 2004 after selling his previous bike, a "rajdoot". The reason he purchased this bike is because the rajdoot was heavy and he got back pain due that bike and so doctor advised him to buy and use a light weight bike. The second reason is, the rajdoot was about 21 yrs old and so that bike could do any further and that made us to buy a new one. We didn’t go for much choices becoz their weren’t many and also splendor was the top bike at that time and the best in term of mileage which gave about whooping 60kmpl.! and so we selected the hero honda splendor.!**pros of the bike -**1) a bike with nominal pricing.2) a very light weight bike, a guy with just 50 kgs can handle the bike with ease.3) low maintenance cost. Just costs about rs.400 for 6 months and not like pulsar’s or unicorn over 1200.!4) the bike is very compact with short handles and so u can handle traffic pretty easily.! 5) excellent mileage. When purchased new, the bike gave about 60kmpl. That's impressive. 6) cheap replacement parts. Available every where at all showrooms and repair centers.**cons** -1) speed doesn't no exceed 80kmpl, that's bad for bikers. But i consider this safe.!2) the bike’s breaks are not that strong becoz of lack of disk breaks.3) bike’s battery is very weak. If head light is on, the horn sometimes does work. I mean, it works but not powerful.
