Hero MotoCorp has updated the Passion PRO commuter motorcycle on its official website. The new Passion PRO has been updated with a few cosmetic upgrades as well the retuned version of the 97.2cc engine.

Riding on the success of its commuter motorcycle range, Hero MotoCorp has registered its best ever calendar year performance, in 2014. While the sales in December 2014 grew by a marginal 1,107 units, the company sold a staggering 66,45,787 units of two-wheelers in 2014 in the domestic and other global markets.

Hero MotoCorp is one of the few two-wheeler manufacturers in the country who usually start selling their bikes without an official launch. They did it with the new Karizma range as well as the Splendor iSmart. Now, the company has silently updated their official website with the Passion Pro TR, which we believe will be seen in the showrooms soon.

Hero MotoCorp is likely to launch the Splendor Pro Classic and the Passion TR next month according to reports circulating on the interweb. Both the bikes were unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo last month and are one of the many iterations of the Gurgaon based bike maker's long serving deputies.

Hero MotoCorp sales figures for December show a decline of 3.07 per cent. The company sold 5,24,990 units for the last month in 2013, in contrast to 5,41,615 two-wheelers sold in the same period in 2012.

Petrol prices in India have increased and it will be costlier by 75 paise per litre (exclusive of state, local and other taxes). The changes to the prices have come into effect from the midnight of January 4, 2014.

Hero MotorCorp has launched the new Passion X Pro in the 110cc commuter motorcycle segment for starting price of Rs 46,800 (ex-showroom Delhi). The top-end variant of the new model with alloy-wheels, electric start, tubeless tyres and front disc brake is priced at Rs 51,800.
