After searching intensively for my new bike i shortlisted shine sp and glamour and after back to back test test rides took home glamour.

Its much better than shine sp

    -as its much better handler

    -much better design

    -fatter tyres with better grip

All this and at lower cost

Go for it eyes closed its best in the segment.

  • Problem with gear box. Please do a test ride

    Ananth

May be i am writing the review too early, but i will definitely edit after enough usage. I have been using the bike for 2 months now. Overall the bike is ok, but i would expect more for 70k rs for on road. I did not get the 50 kmpl yet but hopeful will be able to make it. Current mileage is approximately 35 to 40 kmpl ( all of the driving in city conditions with average speed of 25 to 30 km per hour). Just done with my first servicing, but the service experts say that i have to wait for 2 to 3 services to get the actual mileage :(. My annoying problem i am facing is with the gear box. Sometimes the gears are hard to shift, and major problem i am facing is when we need to down the gears from 4 to 2nd or 1st, we can do only 1 gear down with holding the clutch, to do another gear down immediately to need to release the clutch and hold it again. If you try to down the gears continuously to 3 and 2 , the second change will go blank and you will still be on the 3rd gear. When i mentioned this issue with servicing guys, they said its a known problem with the new glamour (i3s).So, please going for this bike, please do a test ride and see if you are not seeing this problem. And yes, i tried to go beyond 60km per hour speed and the bike takes it hard.

  • Glamour i3s is a failed model

    Prabhu

The major problem with this bike is top speed. The maximum speed you can drive without vibration and noise is 45 kmph only. Remaining low cost bikes will be overtaking you on roads and you will get frustration. Second problem is bold sound from engine head. Especially at low speed, sound is very high. I have made complaint to company and they ultimately referred to showroom where i purchased the bike. Showroom people informed that it is a failed model and they simply dragging the time by telling stories. Don't purchase this model. It is a utter failed model with a high cost of rs. 80000/-. Better to go for honda unicorn if you want smooth, soft and vibration free top speed. I demand hero for free rectification of the problem.

    Anand

Such a worst experience with hero glamour bs6 model. From starting month onwards I am facing issues with this bike. I try for replacement but they are not ready to replace this bike. Within 5 months only battery got damaged. Replaced with the new battery. And self start issues around 30 times within 8 months I have faced. After using 7 months I have changed chain also. Engine vibrations and sound issues. Brakes also not working properly even you fit every 3 days. Heating issue. I am using this bike for daily use and i am riding this bike in highway rides only even not in the city. Why this bike is designed by hero company with all this failures. Just for making money they have designed such a worst bike like this. Hero dealer also not responding properly. Guys, don't buy this bike i am strongly suggesting you guys go with Honda shine or Livo which is better option...

  • Do not buy this bike !!!

    Aditya

I liked the older version of glamour hence with the same thought I bought this glamour bs-6 in last may-2020, only then i realized that I did a big mistake choosing this bike. No matter what, this stupid bike stops immediately just when it starts. I have to try patiently at least thrice to get it running. I tried all the recommendations of the hero authorized service person and even after trying everything it just fails. Even he doesn't know what to do and rather he gives me a hope every visit.
At traffic signals, this bike makes you feel so obnoxious and puts you at shame for sure. No bike i tried till date has a problem of this kind. During lockdown, my friend once tried this and next time he begged me not to give him this bike and rather asked for a 10 year older shine based on his experience on this bike.
Apart from that, here are problems I found on the bike:
    1. Engine gets too hot
    2. Vibrations at lower speeds
    3. Gear shift issues
    4. Vibration noises from headlight section
I don't recommend this model at all and i am going to sell mine soon.

  • 6 months of detailed user xp

    Rams

Hey folks,I brought hero glamour 6 months back. The only reason i choose this vehicle is sitting position. I don't want to bend my spinal-cord much on my ride. I had 13 years old hero honda passion plus and so i was looking for the same sitting position bike. After seeing so many bikes, i filtered out two bikes; thunderbird 350x and hero glamour. Due to bangalore traffic and wear-tear issues i filtered out thunderbird x.With my 6 months / 2200km ride experience, i am sharing my user reviews:Positives :-Good things are good break system and sitting position.Negatives :-Facing so many drawbacks, those are affecting my drive style and comfortability on daily-basis and those are listed one by one.Gear struck :- while changing from the 1st gear to 2nd gear, the 2nd gear struck (could not press the gear lever). It is required to release and hold the clutch few many times to make it work. I had report this on my first service, but the supervisor started teaching me how to change the gears. I have 15 years of experience on bike riding. This same issue is reported with other customers and so it looks like a known issue.Gear changing method: my previous bike was passion plus, in that by pulling the clutch i can change the gears from 4-3-2-1 and vice versa. But in glamour, it is required to hold and release the clutch for each and every gear change. This makes my ride uncomfortable during critical situations. Particularly while crossing the humps.Gear ratio :- the torque is very good in first gear, where as it is very poor on 2nd gear. With pillion rider, while crossing the speed humps it is frustrating. Especially annoying the pillion rider. For each and every hump i need to go to 1st gear. I never face this issue on my previous passion plus even it was 98cc vehicle, the 2nd gear pick-up was nice. I am seeing this as a design flaw.Performance with pillion rider :- due to low torque and struck of 2nd gear, the performance of the vehicle is almost half compare to single person drive. I am hot happy while driving with pillion rider.Idling after gear change :- while changing the gears, after acceleration, it is required to pull clutch. Meanwhile the engine speed is more and it is taking huge time to reach its ideal speed. Hope this should be a alignment issue, as of now it is not rectified by service guys. I am facing this issue after complaining the mileage issue during first service. Before my first service i was getting 35kmpl.Vibration at 50 :- the total bike is vibrating huge at 50kmph itself. My previous passion plus never vibrates even i cross 75kmph. Really i didn't expect this issue. Disappointed on this bike because of this issue.Mileage :- as of now i am getting 45kmpl on bangalore traffic. Hero is advertising for glamour's mileage as 81kmpl. I don't think so it is practically possible, at-least in bangalore. While selling my 13 years old passion+ bike, that was giving 50kmpl. So, this mileage is acceptable for me.Horn :- it is having very weak horn. The beep of the signal indicator itself louder than its horn.Useless digital display :- first i thought it is coming with advanced digital display, but later realise that is just for a name shake; the digital display is doing the same job what analogue display does. They suppose to provide a small watch that would be really useful for all when rush to office. Trip timer, distance to empty indicator, temperature indicator would be really helpful on digital display.Full head light as daylight:- in this >2018, most of the other brand bikes (even tvs-xl) are not glowing full head light during day time, those comes with only a small day-light. Here in glamour the full head light is always on for the day and night which is not making any sense, simply weaken the bulb soon. A separate switch for headlight can save 35 watts of power. Hero has to re-think on this design.Time chain noise :- there is a 'tik tik' time chain noise which is annoying always. I don't know what i have to do to stop this with a brand new bike. So, if you ask me about my opinion of this bike for purchasing, i am not in a position to recommend this bike. Better take a through test drive with pillion rider and decide by your own.Apart from that, it is doing its commuting job well. Since i brought this recently, i have to live with these niggles at-least for next 6-8 years. The above mentioned are my personal observations, those i am experiencing on daily basis.

  • Why you should not buy this bike.

    Satyaprakash

I don't recommend to purchase this bike.
this bike has lot of problems.
    1. Gear shifting problem.
    2. Start problem.
    3. Service is not good that much.
    4. Expensive.
    5. I3S function is useless.
    6. It should be led light...
I used this bike for one year.... I realized that I make big mistake to purchase this bike ... On this bike gear shifting and self start is the biggest problem.... If you go for a long drive (100km-150 km) some times it's engine stop automatically.

    Nasir

Please don't buy this bike, having problems in this bike, most in gear shifting. Not solve after 6th service, and vibration at 45-55 km/h speed From last six month facing vibration and noise problem in between 45 to 55 km/h only. The maximum speed you can drive without vibration and noise. Especially at low speed, sound is very high. I have made complaint after third service each time that there is some sound from the engine side and vibrating after 45 km but after 6th service remain the same problem.

    2. Vibration at only 40-50 km/h speed
    3. In riding noises from headlight and viger
    4. Pickup is worst
    5. If you take the bike forward, then the
rpm is very high and noises
    6. Headlight not up to the mark, this very
    low.

  • Worst experience. Dont buy this bike

  • Worst bike ever

Please don't buy this bike, having problems in this bike, most in gear shifting. Not solve after 6th service, and vibration at 45-55 km/h speed From last six month facing vibration and noise problem in between 45 to 55 km/h only. The maximum speed you can drive without vibration and noise. Especially at low speed, sound is very high. I have made complaint after third service each time that there is some sound from the engine side and vibrating after 45 km but after 6th service remain the same problem.
