I'm impressed. The achiever handled varied conditions at our test venue with a range of shiny, slippery tiles, patches of cobble-style stones and concrete of various flavours just to keep things interesting. In the middle of which were missing cobbles and tiles, the old missing (small) drain cover etc. All this was swallowed without any drama. The suspension is almost plush - i need a good clean road to verify this - and i think hero has chosen a good set-up for the role.'

    1. Style:-

it may not convince a young rider but will definitely convince a daily commuter who is looking for a simple but attractive bike.

    2. Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox: -

though pickup is good but engine heats two much even after a short ride. Fuel economy not up to the marks as it should be for a commuter bike. Gearbox is also not smooth.

    3.Ride quality & handling

if you are looking for riding comfort then don't go for this bike. My back pain has started since i started using this bike. You may feel smooth sailing on the good roads but when you have to pass through a bad one then the problem starts. Bike is skiddy and you have to be very careful while taking a sharp turn. The reason for this may be lesser width back tyre but nothing more matters than your own safety.

    4.Final words

not a suggestable bike. Recently purchased & feeling unfortunate after using this bike. Being a middle class person i cannot afford a second bike right now but i will definitely sell this and purchase a new one as soon as i get some reasonable price. Hero has broken my trust. But this is my first and last affair with hero bikes. One thing is 100% sure that i will again not waste my hard earned money on hero bikes. I feel yamaha & honda are better options than hero.

    5.Areas of improvement

engine should not heat so much. Hero should work upon achiever to make its road grip better. Ground clearance also needs to be improved as i have always felt this bike double stand hitting the road humps. Colour options are not good.

    Pros

    a gentleman look.

    Cons

worst road grip, worst riding comfort, average fuel economy, build up quality is not good

Its a great experience owning a hero product, riding is smooth, its has a long seat and upright straight seating positing.. Mileage is more than 45kmpl, servicing cost is nearly negligible..

Less power for highway ride, need to have more powerful braking..

Company fitted battery don't last for 1.5 years. New version doesn't have a attractive look either.

I purchased the bike when it was just 5 months old and 3000 km run. It has been used by only me till date. The bike is in good condition and is being used only for daily commute. For last few years running only 10 km a day. It is being serviced on regular basis, mostly within every 2-3 months. No major repair or maintenance done till date. This bike is used very conservatively.

The bike, as a daily commuter proves to be a better choice than other bikes of this segment.Better comfort, better mileage(mine 52+ before first service),nice exhaust, simple but muscular styling, eye catching designs etc qualities make you feel a proud owner of the bike. Only maintenance needed is to care about the rpm,it crosses 3000 rpm as you start even in neutral resulting in continuous consumption of fuel, gearing is smoother than other bikes.Headlights are good in looks but yes,you have to set it right and adjust the upper and dipper lights carefully... As the dipper goes upper and upper one goes higher than required level. All to say is that the bike is best in its segment than others if you like muscular bikes with style without fenders with great mileage, comfort and quality... Go for this one.
