About Sport Glide 2018
The Sport Glide is one of the sporty baggers in the Harley-Davidson lineup. The company has worked hard to make it more rideable by a larger audience. As such, it gets a low seat, a narrower-than-before crankcase, a fairing that prevents windblast on the chest, and fun handling, at least by Harley standards. It runs the standard Softail chassis and Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine of the current generation. The seating triangle is not as large as a traditional H-D, since it is developed to appeal to a global audience. There is also the option of an added hard tailbag, to carry more luggage when touring. The front forks are inverted, but they don’t get the full-fat dual bending valve tech. The Sport Glide also gets only a single front disc for the front brake.
The Sport Glide competes with the likes of the Triumph Thunderbird LT, which is a more traditional bagger.
