The HPS 300 aims for the kind of customer who values style and exclusivity above all else, and is willing to pay for the privilege. The specs for the HPS 300 aren’t very impressive – the 250cc single-cylinder engine makes almost 25bhp and 22Nm with the help of liquid cooling and fuel injection. There is a six-speed gearbox and chain drive. The high dual exhausts, spoked rims and flat seat all point towards its scrambler intentions. As such, the single cylinder and the weight reduction it offers makes sense, given the intended style of the motorcycle. However, the asking price is well over Rs 3 lakh, which catapults it into the same league as multi-cylinder streetbikes that are manufactured by much better known brands. However, as we’ve said in the first line, exclusivity has a price.
The FB Mondial HPS 300 competes with the likes of the BMW G 310 R, Kawasaki Z250, and Benelli TNT 300.
