Introduction

The Rynox Advento Pro full gauntlet gloves have been a constant companion in my daily commutes and the occasional Mumbai-Pune sprints. After spending a good deal of time with them, here’s what my experience has been like:
Breaking In

Straight off the box, the first thing that became apparent was the uneven fit. The left glove fit perfectly, whereas the right one felt a bit too stiff. Another issue that I noticed was the pressure points on the right-hand side ring and pinkie finger. These two pressure points were a constant source of annoyance throughout the 3-week break-in period. But once these gloves were properly broken in, this stopped being an issue
Post Break In
Most of the time I have spent with the Rynox Advento Pro was on daily commutes. Once the break-in was complete, the gloves felt so much more comfortable and easy to wear, with a snug fit. The velcro straps also provide a secure fit throughout.

That being said, the full-grain leather construction of the gloves feels a bit thin, especially at the palms. This might not be the best for abrasion resistance on the palms. However, the thinner construction has made the gloves feel a lot more tactile while operating the controls of the bike.

The feel from the throttle, brake, and clutch levers is quite good, and it didn’t feel like I was wearing a bulky full-gauntlet glove. The FAST-R capus bone protectors, too, don’t interfere when you’re trying to hold the handlebars. The silicone grips positioned inside the palms also help give a secure grip on the handlebars.
There are touch-sensitive panels on the index finger, but it takes a bit of pressure for the touch to register on most devices. During my longer rides, I found the touch sensitivity to be adequate for making UPI payments or entering my PIN on the card reader.

But navigating via Google Maps is difficult as you’ve only got one finger to work with. So I usually take off the gloves when entering a new location or zooming in and out. Having a similar touch-sensitive panel on the thumb would have gone a long way in making this easier.

With the Mumbai heat picking up, the lack of ventilation becomes quite apparent, especially when stuck in stop-and-go traffic. Although the gloves feature vents on the top of the fingers and a full perforated construction, there isn’t enough airflow to keep your hands cool.
Verdict
After wearing the Advento Pro daily, I found the gloves to be incredibly useful and easy to wear. The usual issues with full gauntlet gloves, such as the bulky feel and cumbersome nature, are not present in the Advento Pro. The protection it offers and the tactile nature overall make it a good choice if you are looking for a comfortable pair of full gauntlet gloves.

That said, it is a bit more towards the expensive side, coming in at Rs. 6,350. If you’re looking for something that is a bit more affordable, then you can check out the Rynox Tornado Pro 4s.
