The Wanderer WP waterproof riding boots are the latest addition to Royal Enfield’s all-weather protective footwear lineup. Positioned as high-ankle mid-cuff riding boots, the Wanderer WP are the most expensive riding boots from Royal Enfield, as of today. These boots are designed for everyday commuting, long-distance touring, and mild off-roading usage, while providing the added assurance of waterproof construction.

In the later reports, we will tell you how the boots are for everyday riding, whether you can live in them, how good the waterproofing is, and whether or not you should buy them. But, for now, let’s take a look at what these boots are all about.

The Construction

Royal Enfield claims that the Wanderer WP riding boots are made using abrasion-resistant waterproof leather on the outside. At first glance, these seem to be inspired by the Royal Enfield TCX Stelvio boots, as is evident from their design and the double stitching throughout their construction.

Safety-wise, the Wanderer WP’s come equipped with TPR (thermoplastic rubber) protectors for the heel, ankle, and toe box. The sole is constructed using a combination of TPR and rubber, designed to offer anti-skid properties.

Inside, the boots feature padded foam for cushioning along with a removable and washable soft PU insole. Now, this setup should offer comfort and help with moisture wicking during everyday use, but we can tell that only when we test these boots extensively.

The Features

As we mentioned earlier, the Wanderer WP are waterproof riding boots designed to keep your feet dry in wet riding conditions. Unlike other brands that use Gore-Tex or their proprietary waterproof tech, Royal Enfield says it uses high-quality waterproof leather for the Wanderer WP. It will be interesting to see how they fare in terms of ventilation and keeping the moisture out.

Other features include a toe-shift patch for reduced wear during gear changes, and reflective elements have been placed at the back and side of the boots for added visibility in low-light situations.

The closure system includes two Easy Locks quick-release ratchet system buckles for a secure fit. This system allows micro adjustments and enables quicker wearing and removal.

What’s Next?

We will use the Royal Enfield Wanderer WP riding boots for our daily commutes, intercity highway rides, and regular walking during shoot days or in the office. We also plan to go long-distance touring in them and do some beginner-level off-roading.

This will help us understand how they perform across varied riding conditions. And then, we will tell you how these fare and whether you should invest in the Royal Enfield Wanderer boots.
