Emflux Motors Model 1 is expected to launch in India in December 2021 in the expected price range of ₹ 6,00,000 to ₹ 6,20,000. Currently available bikes which are similar to Model 1 are Odysse Evoqis, Bajaj Chetak & Ather 450X.
The first product of the indigenous Emflux
Motors is called ‘Model One’. It is a supersport motorcycle whose performance,
the company claims, can match that of today’s conventional 600-750cc
sportbikes. What’s special about the Model One is the fact that it is an
electric motorcycle – the first electric superbike in the market. Its styling
is appealing, and all-LED lighting boosts appeal while consuming less power
from the battery.
The motor is a liquid-cooled AC induction
motor that generates 67bhp and 84Nm. The company claims it can get to 100kmph
from standstill in less than 3 seconds. The range of the motorcycle is a
maximum of 200km on a single charge. The company will also sell ‘warp chargers’
which will charge the Model One to 100 per cent from zero in an hour. It can
charge the bike to 80 per cent in thirty minutes. The frame is a trellis frame
not unlike the KTMs we’re used to seeing. The rear swingarm is a single-sided
one, and the rear shock is an offset one. Brakes consist of 300mm twin discs in
the front and a 220mm rear disc gripped by Brembo callipers.
On the features list is a 7-inch TFT colour
touchscreen display, real-time vehicle diagnostics, and bike-to-bike
connectivity. The options list comprises of fully adjustable Ohlins suspension,
forged alloy wheels, and carbonfibre panels. Deliveries are scheduled to begin
