BMW G 310 GS [2021] vs Yezdi Adventure

The GS was a part of the 2019 Off-Road Day, and coincidentally, I had ridden it then too. However, it wasn’t the best of experiences. But now, with BMW claiming to have addressed some of the issues from the previous model, I was intrigued.

In order to find if the G 310 GS BS6 actually feels any better in the real world, we spent some time with the motorcycle, comprehensively scrutinising it in every scenario possible.

The Adventure is the most expensive Yezdi one can buy in India, and the reason for this is the segment it belongs to. The adventure touring segment in the country is booming, and many young Indians want to get out of their mundane life and explore the breathtaking scenery and rural parts of the country. To do this, there’s a need for a motorcycle that can take care of the comfort and luggage and also allow the rider to go to places that standard bikes can’t go. Such bikes don’t come cheap as they are engineered to take a lot of beatings from Mother Nature. Plus, this bike also has to be an all-rounder because, like it or not, weekdays are when the bike will be used as a commuter, and on the weekends, it should transform into an explorer.

There’s a new rival to the segment leader the Royal Enfield Himalayan – it is called the Yezdi Adventure and it is the most expensive Yezdi motorcycle on sale in India currently. It is priced at Rs 2.48 lakh on-road Mumbai and that makes little affordable than the Himalayan.
