Fantastic Performance , I have been using this bike since a year , i have BS 4 variant , it's really perfect bike . No Engine Issues, Maintenance cost on a bit higher side as compared to other but that's just fine considering the Brand that you own. Satisfied to the Core , At last just i can say it's Value for Money.

This bike has low quality parts. Very bad service experience. Costly maintenance looks are good. Handling is good. Dealers and service centers are doing pathetic service. Even changing original parts with other bikes. No response from bmw customer care and no reply on mail. I wont recommend anybody to buy.

  • The Perfect 300cc...

    Visakh Wiz

    1. It is my first bike and as a person who was upgrading from an Activa, this felt just perfect for me...It is a Beginner friendly machine...
    2. Riding experience is just out of the world...This bike along with its sibling the GS310 has got the best seats on a single cylinder bike so far, even better than Himalayan which is indeed a comfortable bike to ride...This seats are so well padded and also has got a lot of space... Pillion comfort is also very good...It has got a good ergonomics...Long distance touring are just easy and you won't fell any tiredness even if u take a 2-3 hours continuous ride without any breaks...the bike just goes with it...
    3. Looks were the first thing that caught my attention...I can't just define how beautiful this bike is... Performance is just mind blowing... probably this is the best single cylinder 300cc bike you would get in the market today...The power is beginner friendly for riders who lack experience...It has got a lot of features and safety equipments...it has got adjustable clutch and brake levers, a digital instrument cluster with tons of data's, slip and assist clutch, dual channel ABS, all LED lights(headlamp, tail lamp & indicators), etc...and the best is the clutch assist feature which helps us to move our bike automatically in a small speed without using the accelerator that too in all gears, this helps us in tight traffic's a lot...the mileage is also decent for a 300cc, I get around 35km/l on my normal riding style both in city and highways mixed... This bike is an Eye catcher in every aspects...this bike is a true combination of "THE BEAUTY AND THE BEAST"...
    4. Maintenance is a bit on the expensive side as compared to other single cylinder bikes and some twin cylinder bikes...the price for parts and other accessories comes in a premium...but when it comes to service, the service cost is more when compared to others but it is justifiable... because, the service period is more, like we just needs to do our services once in 10000Km's or 1 Year(whichever comes first), where as others comes around 6000Km's or 6 Months I think... After all its a BMW and there will be a premium obviously, so the prices are well justifiable...
    5. I don't have much on Pros cause I have already said that, but some of the one down sides I have noticed is that...firstly, it has a slight vibrations on the handle bar and the foot pegs when we go on higher RPM's or Redline it... secondly, it would have been better if it gets a better set of tyres like in RR310... thirdly, the no of service centers are low and lastly I'm not a huge fan of that exhaust design, but the sound's are dope, especially when we rev high...
So, This is my user experience or ownership review...and I'm so much Satisfied with the bike...

Just maintain your bike perfectly...wash it well and chain lube once in 500Km's... check tyre pressures frequently and change tyres when the time comes, better go with Michelin Road 5's or Apollo Alpha H1, Pirelli's are much more expensive but are the best...service on correct time...

  • The bmw g310r and my love-hate relationship with it

    Aditya Udhani

Well, well, where do I start! My experience with the BMW G310r has had its good and bad moments so far.
I got the back 2 months back. The buying experience was horrible. The staff at Navnit motors Thane was unprofessional, rude and downright condescending. The salesperson that I communicated with, Mr. Ketan, openly abused me on call and kept pestering me to pay the full amount without providing me any adequate assistance during the process. Nonetheless, I went ahead with the booking.
The day I got it, I drove it back home, some 40-odd kms from the showroom. It was raining, the bike was on a cold-start and brand new. It still did extremely well, helping me avoid close calls, courtesy of the abs. The ride quality was great, suspension is on the softer side. In my opinion, it is perfect for our pothole-ridden roads. The throttle is really engaging, and the bike just shoots forward once you rev above 3000 rpm. One thing that really upset me, especially during the first few weeks, is the gearbox. It is rather clunky, not smooth at all. You need to apply some effort to upshift it, and it's impossible if you're wearing slippers. Also, the vibrations really creep in after 5000 rpm.
One part that i really like though, is the quality of parts. All cables are braided, switches feel premium to touch. The paint quality and lustre is the best I have seen on any bike in this range.
Talking about the looks, the bike is a real head-turner. No matter where you go, people will look at you, ask you questions, compliment your ride. The bmw badge is a conversation starter, for sure. The tank is very muscular, the golden forks add that extra oomph. Otherwise, the bike is quite conservatively styled, which really helps aid in comfort. It's not like the ktm duke 390, which has a very edgy design and aggressive stance, which translates into an uncomfortable seating experience.
Being a single-cylinder, 300cc motorcycle, the maintenance is the same as most other bikes. Check tyre pressure regularly, lube the chain, top-up the coolant and you're good to go. As for the official servicing, it is on the expensive side. First service kicks in at 1000km, and costs 6,500 rs. Every consecutive service would be at an interval of 10,000km and will cost about 9,000-10,000 rs. Which is 2-3x what the servicing cost would be on a ktm duke 390, or even an apache RR 310, which it shares parts with.
    To sum it up,
    Pros:
    Beautifully designed
    Bmw branding
    Premium materials and finishing
    Capable engine
    Amazing handling and cornering
    Cons:
    Horrible, horrible showroom experience
    Limited dealership network
    Expensive servicing and parts
    Motor is somewhat unrefined
Exhaust note is not upto mark
    Abs is a hit-or-miss

    Shashank Patil

Within 6 month of use, there is a ignition problem, battery fault, display problem, extra overheating isse. Not worth to buy. From last month bike is idle because of this.
Even customer service is not responding, neither showroom. It's just headache after buying this bike, very poor service.

  • Hard core rider and bike lover must read.

    Gulshan Kumar

    1. Yes, it was great though it's bit costly 2. As mentioned above it's value for money. I ride the bike without taking any break for 2-3 hours continuously and I don't feel any difficulty. It's so comfortable. Go for it guys, you will not regret. 3.The looks is just "wow" attract everybody and performance wise there is no match against this bike in this range. Its close competition is ktm390 though this bike proves to be better. Can refer youtube video about its power and capabilities. 4. Only one service/year or service after every 10000km of ride which ever is early. Needs to just wash to keep your look fresh. 5. Pros are many can't define. Cons. A) little high vibration specially for pillion rider. B) best for single rider if pillion rider is there fun is not as much as single rider. C) a bit overpriced because of its brands name you may get a better performance vehicle for same price. ( but you will not regret purchasing this one). D) fuel tank capacity is too less need to haul to refuel. E) I guess the bike is not for daily use because of road conditions your bike may need extra maintenance. Optional.

  • Its not just 300cc bike. Its bmw.

    Gaurav Rana

The buying experience was very good. People at bmw really help you to feel comfortable and suggest the way how you can afford bikes. Also, the finance department is very good.
The riding experience and performance of the bike are very good. Just two days after the purchase of the bike i rode it for 350km in one go. And it proves itself. The top end is very good, it shines out in the crowd, also beat the traffic easily. Overall it gives a good performance. Regarding city rides, this is the most comfortable bike to ride. It's neither too heavy nor its too light. I guess it's perfect in all shapes. And if someone wanted to have only one bike for city rides, daily commutes and adventure, and long rides, then one can easily go for it.
Servicing is a bit on the higher side. But please keep in mind that it requires service only after 10000 km so even if it is 1k-2k costly than other brands. One can easily manage. Plus most important thing you are owning bmw. So that much you can afford for such a good brand.
    Pros and cons
    Pros.
    Good mileage 30-33km/l
    Brand value
    High pickup
    Cons
Exhaust sound is normal it should be little laud.
Bike appearance is somewhat similar to new apache
The top-end speed is just 155km/h. It should be somewhere at 170km/h at least.
But even after these cons, i am still in love with this bike. People get mad when they see the bmw logo on the bike.
    And this is the experience.

  • A wonderful bike with worst after sales and service.

    Manish

The buying experience was unpleasant and BMW will literally charge you for even changing a screw, the bike performance and reliability is nice but, its not a daily ride. You can't keep spending 11000 rs for each service. BMW India lacks badly in its customer experience and services. You can only service this bike in the showroom. They still don't have any authorized service centers in India. If you have a very big pocket and wouldn't care about customer support then you can buy this or else kindly consider the 390 Duke. I've faced do many problems with this bike since 2019, the service team has a number of hidden charges on your bill and make sure you spend above 10000rs for your service.

Within 6 month of use, there is a ignition problem, battery fault, display problem, extra overheating isse. Not worth to buy. From last month bike is idle because of this.
Even customer service is not responding, neither showroom. It's just headache after buying this bike, very poor service.
