Pulsar 200NS FI preview

Bajaj has been testing the fuel-injected version of the Pulsar 200NS in India for a long time now. The motorcycle might be launched in Indonesia first, followed by an Indian launch. Bajaj has been testing the fuel-injected version of the Pulsar 200NS in India for a long time now. The motorcycle might be launched in Indonesia first, followed by an Indian launch.

The Pulsar 200NS FI carries forward the same design and architecture of the current Pulsar 200NS. The Indonesia-spec model might get a slightly different stickering job with the Kawasaki branding. However, the Indian model might retain the same features of the current version. The only change that is expected is the introduction of the fuel-injected system in place of the current carburettor.

The Bajaj Pulsar 200NS FI will be powered by the same single-cylinder 199cc engine that churns out 23bhp of power and 18Nm of torque. The company has used most of the technologies on the bike which are also shared with the KTM Duke 200 like the switch gear, electrical etc. This has helped the company to keep a tab on the overall costs.

At present, Bajaj's agreement with Kawasaki enables them to sell their products in Indonesia through Kawasaki’s dealership network. Taking advantage of this situation, the company might launch this model primarily in Indonesia with the Kawasaki branding.

If Bajaj launches this motorcycle for the Indian market as well, the Pulsar 200NS FI will become the only fuel- injected motorcycle from their range of motorcycles. It will be priced Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000 more than the current Pulsar 200 NS.
