Chain sounds and 13kmpl mileage

This bike has great power. It takes us to heaven . But it provides least comfort since it's a Bajaj bike. like all other bikes of Bajaj it also has chain problem. There are disturbing noise from the chain.Even on smooth ride it offers less mileage. I get a mileage of 13 kmpl . Only positive side is speed which all other bike offer at this price. It's better to have a KTM than bajaj. It has the best performance.

This is comfortable for cruising, breaking, speed and etc is best acceleration is like a horse and design like robot is very attracting but breaking is very poor ,terrible i think if rear break performance becomes well then rider will feel comfortable.I request to bajaj please work on this and if mileage will increase then this will be the most popular bike for riders.

Perfect for long rides. You can easily go some 700km in single ride comfortably. Bike looks so sexy and superb cool.Maintenance will be according to handling bike.Mileage is better comparing to other sport bike of that cc bike. And we have dual channel abs.Overall amazing bike.

Dominator of the segment

Well i consider this as a great update from your 150-200cc lifestyle. The bike is a package of many elements for such a reasonable price. Imagine having a bike which gives you around 30kmpl mileage at any riding condition and can even run upto 160 kmph without any strain and comes under 2.2 lacs. What is a better deal than this? The riding experience should be elaborated. In 18 months i rode about 24k kms on this. For touring, daily commute and short rides. I felt like god when i drove it from pondicherry to hyderabad in less than 11 hours (800kms approx) and the bike is still not feeling tired. I rode in extreme traffic conditions where some austrian competitors might stop off overheating issues, but this didn't even trouble me a bit. Ride it i'm heavy rains in tough gravels of lonavala hills and didn't give me a problem. I twisted the throttle towards 154kmph on a highway and didn't have any fear about braking. Of course my friend's 2019 model did 163+ simultaneously. It is capable of bringing from 125 to 80kmph in less than 2.5 secs. The trustable braking. What else can i ask for if it runs at 140kmph with a 10-12kgs of tailbag on the pillion seat and can easily reduce speed when i suddenly saw a speed breaker in the middle of a road. The best bike of the segment can i quote? The looks are also a killer on the bike. I remember every moment when people chased me on their bikes just to have a clear look of this black beast and were astonished to hear bajaj as something of this kind in their lineup. Ofcourse the knuckle guards gave an aggressive look for it though. The mid range torque is the best thing on this bike. The moment you touch 4k rpm and subconsciously you get a feeling that the power output stops now like any other bike you have rode till then and suddenly you see a spike in the power and the bike kicks out of the surroundings. What else is needed when you have all these looks, performance, braking, torque, decent mileage and all those under 2.2 lacs. Well servicing is a bit pain because we don't have better service centres in hyderabad for dominars. There are a couple of popular service centres for dominars but getting optimum service is purely based on your luck. Maintenance is minimal i would say for a 400cc power cruiser but you need to spend more bucks at intervals of 10k and 20k kms because of the change of essential parts. I already have listed the pros of the bike i feel, power, braking, mileage, looks, maintenance, price everything is a pro for this machine. We also have the cons of not having proper service technicians is a major con. And the seat, i would say is a bigger pain. The bike goes 100s of kms hassle-free but you can't sit on the stock seat for more than 2 hrs continuously if you are not a regular rider or not using a butt saving accessory for yourself. The pillion seat is much worse. Don't even think of pillion for rides more than 250kms. And one bigger concern i faced is the chance of a regular mechanic or roadside technician is ready to work on the bike. Even things like small electrical upgrades or chain tightening issues. They don't dare to take it and work on it. Maybe because of its huge looks i don't know. But that's a bigger problem as you can't visit to showroom every other time to get things done. So get yourself accustomed to small works on the bike. In the midst of all these things, i would recommend this as a good choice of upgrade if your budget is less than 2.2 lacs and you need a powerful machine. And the 2019 model is a much better upgrade because of this new exhaust and added electronic features.

Tips for other riders

Just keep checking the chain always. The chain oil wears out quickly. So always keep a chain spray or oil can with you at home.

Dominar not that good....

Ram

About riding experience---rear mono-shock not good for Indian roads.... Looks are good.....Mileage getting 28 mix conditions....Service ok......Go for himalayan or xpulse for better suspension setup. Dominar not good for bad roads. On highways u will enjoy dominar.... Vibrations are on higher level... Even at 90 u feel handlebar, foot pegs . Seats..Continuous vibrations which is not comfortable.
