Bike is so good but the mileage is so poor, it is below at 25km/hr... It's riding position is so good long riders as luggage carrying belt under the back seat....The performance of the bike and the power is good in third gear we can cover above 60km/hrs.....The service and maintenance not low cost but not high also it is medium level...New model body weight comes decrease to compare with old model ....New dominar has bs6 so the mileage is so poor.

Purchased bajaj dominar 400 (vine black) in august 2019. Hassle free documentation and got the bike delivered in 2 days. Bike as a whole is an absolute head turner. The exhaust note is very bassy which tends the other rider ahead to turn around and check. Initially the bike was vibey, but after 5000 kms the bike has now smoothened out. There were minor problems like lose engine guard bolts and tank noise which was taken care by the bajaj service center staff. Now after 5000 kms there are no such issues. The bike can pull upto 160 kmph very easily (added taller windscreen, which helps to achieve this speed). The price tag and the power it holds, makes it the value for money machine. Service cost is similar to that of smaller 150cc bikes from other manufacturers ( comparing to fz16 which i owned before). One con as per me, is the rusting part of the exhaust manifold. The color has turned from black to rusty brown completely. And also the rear brake switch which remains faulty in all bajaj bikes.

I had called atleast 5-6 dealers in Mumbai but none of them had a demo bike for test ride.what does it expect that a customer buys a 2 lakhs product without getting a test ride? I had even complaint Bajaj but they always had a template answer.I was looking forward to buy Dominar but looking at the dealership attitude I won't buy. Bajaj needs to work on the dealership network as this is going to affect the sales of the product.

I bought the bike in November 2020. Done with the 2nd free service recently and speedo reads ~5000km now. The main reason for buying d400 is the bundle of power, performance, comfort one gets for that price of 2. 6 lakh on road. Pros1. Good low end torque 2. Looks (matte black, catchy alloy wheels, 43mm usd forks) 3. Good and robust rear view mirrors. 4. Mileage (~30 km/l in blore- keeping my rpm range below 6k) 5. Comfortable seats. Cons. 1. Headlight: very powerful but the beam is narrow. It lights up everything up to 2 km in front of you, but in the curves you go blank, can't see beyond 5-6 feet on the sides. 2. Plastic around main display is of poor quality, you can see flashes from molding. 3. Approach to the ignition key would have been better. 4. The gaps around secondary display on tank prone to settling of dust, sand, leaves. Others: the user manual has a lot of spelling mistakes, Bajaj definitely needs a good proof reader.

Never feels underpowered and very linear power delivery. The pricing of 2019 dominar should have been close to that of old dominar at 1.92 on road mumbai.

I know, it’s a bit odd. A power cruiser on a race track. The raked out front end, the upright seating, the low set footpegs, and the long wheelbase aren’t really virtues when it comes to going flat out corner after corner.
