i had purchased my discover 125st for past 1 year. Its being my best friend until now.I had tried to follow all regular services.
Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox
every day i used to travel around 70 kms. I still never had back pains for long drive. I had a long drive on it for around 300 kms in one shot. I like the power and speed and milege of it.
Ride quality & handling
i got pain in my left shoulder after riding the discover 125st for longer duration. I consulted physios they advised some exercise. But, my shoulder pain won’t get resolved. While i am not riding my bike, i wont get shoulder pain on those days. If i ride my bike more than 15 kms, my shoulder pain get started. My shoulder pain has increased and it makes pain in my neck back bone as well. I consulted one ortho doctor, he advised me to reduce my bike riding
final words
its very cheap to maintain and of course it is a good friend you can depend. So i don’t know why its not having resale values but i like it very much and it is now become more than a friend to me and my family.
Areas of improvement
if i look back i had done very less maintenance on it. Two times i had to replace its chain and socket. One time the silencer broken because of its rusted. My use was rough on it but i believe i didn’t have any issues with that.

Buying experience of discover 125st

Allister Rupert Pinto
Bajaj discover 125st was my first bike. The only bike in its segment with good looks, features, less price & most importantly mileage. The first thing any middle class person will prefer is high mileage from his bike in college days. I am this bike from past 4 years .The petal disc is very responsive. But if you are looking for mileage its the perfect bike for you. It gives me around 60kmpl which is now reduced to around 50-55kmpl after so much of use which is not bad. If we talk about the looks, its quite simple but way better than the other brands. The bike is sleek and can cut through traffic easily. Power is the only thing you would feel less because of its 125cc engine but still the performance is good. I liked the seat as it was uncomfortable to ride .. But as the seating position is straight up right you wont feel any pain in one hour of riding. If maintained and services properly this bike will serve you the best it can give. Spare parts of this bike are easily available anywhere and also in cheap price. In case of servicing bajaj service centres are very poor.
Pros -
1. Good mileage
2. Better performance
3. Sufficient braking power
4. Reliable
5. Best for Indian roads and traffic jams
6. Good handling
7. Less maintenance
Cons -
Poor headlight
vibration on handle bars & foot-pegs
poor service centre

I had this bike from more than 3 year and it crossed the 40,000 kms range now. As its name says st stands for sport tourer it's performance for small tours is quite good. The looks are awesome its looks like bit of naked bike and it contains somewhat pulsor 200ns dna when you see it from front. The overall riding experience is good, it leans quite if you interested in such stuff, joking. The average or millage is decent gives 60kmpl for economy range i.E. Upto 60kmph. The cruising speed of the bike os 100kmph which is nice also the the front discs are of pedal type improving the braking ability little more. The mirrors gives the proper view of what is happening behind. These are the some of pros of it, lets talk about some cons the major con is seating posture its okay for short ride but for long rides i.E. More than 50kms its quite hectic again its depend upon the road conditions which you riding. The suspension is again is on stiffer side and it has the monoshock which is less reliable as compared to some of it's other models such as 125m or 100m again the speedometer is of analogue type though well calibrated its bit disappointing as compared to its competitors. The maintenance is not so expensive it requires the servicing after every 2000kms. If you maintain it properly it gives still he 60kmpl average even after the 40000 done. The overall experience is good.

Bajaj discover 125st the entry level tourer.

Discover st - my friend

Style
i had purchased my discover 125st for past 1 year.

Style
the bikes style is good. Though the rear seat is un-necessarily too high.
The gear lever poor. Front hood it to compact to keep any cloth there.
Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox
engine is too weak and unstable compared to discover 135 version. Fuel efficient
around 45kpl in city range. 60+Kpl in highway.
Ride quality & handling
ride quality is not bad though there is lack of power. Handling is okay, flexible.
Final words
it may be good for city range only not that much stable for highways. Top speed achieved 103kph. Too much price for the benefits.
Areas of improvement
pros
handling
cons
engine not stable

Bike for comfort and mileage
Dushyant Gaur
Bajaj discover 125 st is a very good bike in terms of comfort, average, and maintenance. I have driven it approx 54000 km but still it gives me feel like new. And in terms of maintenance no major issues i have faced. The mileage of my bike is approx 55 to 58kmpl. The mono suspension make your ride comfortable, specially in off road condition. So i love this bike.
