About Typhoon 125

Aprilia Typhoon 125 is expected to launch in India in August 2023 in the expected price range of ₹ 1,10,000 to ₹ 1,14,999. Currently available bikes which are similar to Typhoon 125 are Ampere Primus, BGauss C12 & Okaya Faast F3. Another bike similar to Typhoon 125 is Lambretta V200 which is launching in June 2023 in India.

Aprilia India has confirmed its plans to launch the Typhoon 125 scooter in India. The Aprilia Typhoon 125 will be an entry-level offering from Piaggio in India and will be positioned below the Aprilia SR 125. As for its launch timeline, Aprilia will launch the Typhoon 125 in the country in March 2023.

Aprilia has the Typhoon 125 on sale in international markets, which is identical to the Storm 125 that the company had on sale in India until last year. However, the new Aprilia Typhoon 125, which is set to go on sale in India, will be an all-new model. It is expected to receive updates like a new design, improved mechanicals, and an enhanced features list.

The Aprilia Typhoon 125 is likely to feature an LED headlamp, a semi-digital instrument console, a USB charging port, and a combined braking system. However, it is unlikely to come equipped with a fully-digital instrument cluster to keep the costs in check. In terms of appearance, it is fair to expect the Typhoon 125 to feature attractive styling with a hint of sportiness.

Its cycle parts will include a telescopic fork up front and a mono-shock at the back. Braking duties will be handled by a disc brake at the front, while the rear will make do with a drum brake setup. Similar to the Aprilia Storm 125, the Typhoon 125 is also expected to sport beefy block-pattern tyres.

The Aprilia Typhoon 125 is expected to source power from Piaggio’s revamped i-get Euro-5 motor, which will be OBD-II compliant. This new engine is claimed to offer better acceleration and refinement. The Typhoon 125 is expected to be priced at around Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom), and it will rival the likes of the Suzuki Avenis, TVS Ntroq 125, and Honda Grazia.
