  • It is not a scooter it is a bike....

    8886087777

First i will start with price..

    On road price = 84500/- in a.P

    With accessories and registration included.

Now coming to bike. Really its not a scooter we can say it bike because the experience we feel while riding is just like bike.

It has powerful 154 cc engine which can be more than enough for a scooter segment. It also has a front disc brake and rear drum brake with a standard speedometer.

Coming to looks it simply superb. It just looks luxury on roads. The styling of the seat design and front portion mainly suitable for male riders.

Now its time for maintenance as it looks some what hard but its true. It give only 38 kmpl of mileage in real time as it certified as 50 kmpl but it comes only 38.

At final except mileage all are good i don't bother about mileage so i will give it 5 star rating.

    Pros:

    1.Looks

    2.Performance

    3.Comfort

    4.Wheels(14 inch)

    5.Riding

    6.Branding(designed in italy)

    And so on...

    Cons:

1.Mileage(38kmpl) i think this small thing is not a negative one..

Overall just go for it......Ride it....

    And be a racer..................

This is like super bike .. It has great power and smooth suspension... Handling is awesome.... Boot space is enough for Indian... Fiber used is not like ordinary bike it's hard and tough...I think scooter has completely taken over bikes.... Good for female rider as not too heavy as weight is balanced equally..

  • Pathetic suspension. Broke my back

    Mukesh Sabde

    1. Sinhgad road showroom pune was trying to sell me the scratched product. They had good planning of this by showing me the bike in the evening low light. Rejected the product and asked for another one.2. Pathetic suspension. This bike gave me life time back pain. I'm taking the physiotherapy currently. Worst bike for them whose work is in sitting position for more than 6-7hr.3. Look is good. Very good pickup. Average is little low but that's fine as it is 150cc. 4* for only looks n performance. 4. Worst experience in the showroom every time. I stopped servicing from the showroom even few free servicing were left and started servicing with local mechanics.5. Pros: style, look, pickup, compact. cons: suspensions (pathetic), average (32)-that's not bad for me. Service charges becomes little high bcz of complicated internal design like wirings n settings, it takes much time of mechanic which force them to charge more money which results in higher servicing charges.

  • Sr150 - superb for ride...

    Aman S

One of the first few owner's of the aprilia sr150, i can sure vouch for the fact that it’s a head-turner... And it continues to be so, catching the fancy of fellow commuters at traffic signals, especially the youngsters.

The peppy little motor delivers a very unique riding experience. Being a geared motorcycle rider for years, i was a skeptic about this 'un-geared' machine and its performance. But this baby moto-scoot packs a whole lot of performance!

    First reactions:

Once the run-in was done, i never imagined that twisting the throttle of a "scooter" could be so much fun. Takes off the line with a lot of urgency, stunning a lot of 125-150cc segment motorcycles and all of the scooter riders, in those signal to signal dashes. Why, it surprised me in the initial weeks, as to how quick this little italian is!

    Living with it daily:

Comfortable for 2, 'healthy' people (like us indian call 'em), offering decent padding and space alike. The floor board is small, if you are typically one of those who carry around a lot of luggage, else it is ergonomic to keep your feet in a manner comfortable to you. If you sit like on a cruiser motorbike or sit with your knees folded at right-angles you should be fine, but, if you try to sit like on a sporty bike and use the rear-foot-pegs, then it’s not the most practical or comfortable.

The luggage hook, the grab rails, etc. Are useful bits, thought we could wish for a bigger storage to fit a proper, full-sized, helmet.

Sitting 2-up in city traffic, where you often need to keep both or one leg down for balancing, there is a tendency of the pillions feet constantly hitting the back of your legs. The suspensions are on the stiffer side, sending some knocks up to your "buns" every now-or-then... But hey, before you jump to a conclusion, the stiffness adds to the brilliant handling, especially cornering and flicking thru traffic. The large rims not only add to the appeal, but to a more sure footed ride. So decide what is your jolly, a plush ride or a sporty ride? that said, i have been doing fairly longish rides (45-50km non-stop/oneway), without much stress or difficulty.

Fuel economy is a bit erratic, based on how you ride. Push hard and you can see the fuel needle recede every few minutes, rev gently and you will get miles and miles off every litre of fuel. Oh and the larger 6+1 ltr fuel tank is useful, no really, for when you forget to refuel but need to ride out late night, it is a blessing.

The lights aren't the brightest things on the road and an upgrade on the bulb is recommended, (i need to get me one of those daymaker type of kits). If at all anything that hold me back while riding at night is this poor illumination of the road ahead. It falls in in a spot like a flashlight, say a meter or two wide that’s it!

The brakes offer a sharp bite, much to my surprise, offers great confidence. I end up braking late and feeling like a gp rider! pair this up with the veerubber tyres (don’t forget stiffer suspension) and i think i can safely say we have the best gripping, confidence inspiring scoot on the roads. Though, i must mention, get some heat into those veerubbers before riding hard, leaning greatly or braking with a hard bite.

The engine is clearly grunty, but overall the body end up with considerable vibrations unlike the jap machines. This is not a smoothie, it’s a “kadak chai”

    The sounds:

The exhaust note is nice for a scoot too, offering a deep growl, typically italian tuning, to appeal to the senses (so what if this is a small motor) and the occasional oohs and aahs that come with the good looks it offers, complete the audio sensory experience.

    Maintenance:

Have changed the workshop once, as the one associated with the dealer was utter rubbish. Careless attitude, shortcut service, hugely irritating and worked overtime in ensuring that my confidence in the brand diminished or better still disappeared. Made a switch to another one with a different dealership and i was sorted... Using a slightly more expensive oil like castrol, motul, etc are recommended for added smoothness. This or any other italian are actually not as refine as the jap motors on the honda or suzuki.

    Overall rating:

Well barring a few small things which may be of importance to one and of no consequence to another, this is a great piece of kit. Raspy ride, quick to embarrass 125-150 cc motorbikes, decent fuel economy and head-turning ability make it a great little package. I'd say go for it...

  • Awesome scooter

    Anubhab Patowary

Positives : -i have own the scooter for more than 3 months now. I want to state that this scooter has nothing no under seat storage, no digital meters, nor a tachometer. But, what it gets is an engine which is a real piece of thing which needs to be admired. I can talk about the engine in the whole review. Yes, i agree the engine has a rattling sound and it isn't the most refined compared to other scoooter in the market. But these vibrations and rattling sound make it more sportier. Its handling and ride quality is just top notch. And it does triple digit speeds at a ease, personally i did 110 km/hr but i believe it will reach 120km/hr on certain patch of roads. The handling is good even it does cornering well. In the traffic it is so fun to ride you just give the gas and the scooter vanishes in no time. And it is the first scooter in the Indian market to come with 14 inch alloys. The ground clearance of the scooter is great. And its wheelbase make the scooter stable at higher speeds. And lets not forget about the brake, you apply the brakes the scooter stops in no time. Enough of the positive facts of the scooter lets move to some negative points of it negatives : -the quality of the switch gears aren't that great. The plastic quality in the entire scooter is very cheap. The instrument console could have offered more information. In-spite of having twin headlamps u can only switch one at a time and the intensity of the light isn't that great making it difficult for night rides. The 220mm front disc tends to lock sometime. The suspension is on the stiffer side but it makes it good for corners. The under seat storage is too low u can't even fit a large size half-face helmet. The under seat doesn't come with a lamp which other 125/110cc scooters have on offer. The scooter becomes weak in performance when u put more weight in it.That's all for today.

Unique bike with sporty and bigger types for free and better ride quality. My user experience is very good. It feels good n rides smooth. Its a eye catchy thing in the city and it is really fun to ride. The boot space is little less but still it can store my full size helmet easily. Its built quality is awesome but the meter could have been better.

Truly awesome bike but the stiff suspension create problems on bad roads of India. Wide chicken strip type (like) tyres deliver superb grip at corners and lean angle to turn better and faster compared to other rivals but it really sucks on slippery roads as the tyre provides no grip on muddy roads.

150cc scooter means like a pulsar more power excellent sound comfort riding

Classy sports bike look goes like a rocket

But side stand is not given a little bit disappointment for parking issues

Head light at the top gives sports bike look

Pick up is excellent and braking is ease to operate power and torque output is relatively good
