Aprilia India has launched the updated SR 125 in the Indian market. The new model gets a few styling tweaks over its predecessor. The front fascia features a shaper-looking headlight while the rear gets a redesigned taillight that looks sportier than before. The sporty styling of the new SR 125 is further enhanced by split-style design to the single-piece saddle, a bigger pillion grab rail, and carbon-fibre texture for the front fender, instrument cluster bracket, and the exhaust heatshield. The colour choices include four options – white, blue, grey, and red. The “Aprilia” and “SR125” decals are visible on the front apron, floorboard panel, and rear panel.
The feature list gets an upgrade too, and the new SR 125 benefits from an LED headlight and a fully-digital instrument cluster. The updated display, which is similar to the unit on the SXR 125, comprises a top speed recorder, average speed recorder, tachometer, speedometer, odometer, two trip meters, fuel economy indicator, fuel gauge, engine temperature, and a clock. The new console misses Bluetooth connectivity.
The mechanical specifications remain unaltered and the updated SR 125 continues to use the BS6-compliant, 124.45cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, three-valve engine that produces 9.78bhp at 7,700rpm and 9.70Nm at 6,000rpm. The motor is linked to a CVT gearbox.
The hardware on the new SR 125 remains similar to its predecessor. Thus, the suspension tasks are handled by telescopic front forks and a single spring at the rear. The anchoring duties are performed by a disc brake at the front and a drum unit at the back. The safety net on the SR 125 includes a combined braking system instead of an antilock braking system on the 160cc range. The scooter rides on 14-inch alloy wheels that are shod in tubeless tyres.
This 125cc scooter rivals the TVS Ntorq 125, Honda Grazia 125, Yamaha RayZR 125, Hero Maestro Edge 125, and the likes in the Indian market.

It's important that people can ride in a comfortable position so they can get on the bike at any time of day no matter what they're wearing. In city and cargo bikes, the things I want most are quality brakes, a drivetrain that isn't too fancy, and durable tires.

Aprilia SR 125 - Worth buying?
Mubeen
Best suited for everyday commute and long drive Better road stability compared to other scooters because of wider tyres. Pricing is high but is worth paying for safer ride considering pothole roads. Scooter looks awesome, handling is smooth and comfortable. Servicing and maintenance consider the dealer workshop. Overall the scooter is worth buying

The buying experience was decent but could have been better, riding is a bit on the stiffer side but yeah that compromises when it comes to the performance, it's an absolute pocket rocket, this is the BMW of scooters when it comes to handling and performance, its literally a bike without a manual transmission, 11/10 for designing, yeah I'm serious, the best-looking two-wheeler in its class, servicing is decent too, but very few locations which is a downside but then again it is a premium/ sports scooter, can't complainPros: every aspect other than the absence of some cool tech the competitors have, and the exhaust note could have been better.Cons: the same as above and people who are complaining about the mileage, go get an activity then, you people don't belong here, this is the premium space :)Like seriously, this is a performance-oriented scooter from Aprilia, not your average grocery-getter. Aprilia's are for the enthusiasts.

A daily commute that can be used for longer rides too. The way this scooty eases at corners and traffics is absolutely great. Have been using it for almost a year now. Completed long trips too. One time it was for a continuous 150 kms with two breaks in between for the engine to cool down. Though the mileage is less the overall feel this scooty gives is something you won't get in any other ones.
