Royal Enfield drop the Electra name

Royal Enfield has gone ahead and dropped the Electra model name from its website. However, Royal Enfield is continuing to sell this motorcycle under the Bullet 350 nomenclature. This change makes sense since the Bullet 350 can be opted with a disc brake and electric start which makes both motorcycles identical.

Moreover, the Royal Enfield Electra had lost its Electra badging due to the identity crisis quite some time ago which further confirms this move from the manufacturer. The Bullet 350 can now be had in its original black with drum brakes and kick start and also in four additional colours like the new black, silver, maroon and blue which come equipped with a disc brake up front and electric start.

The Electra was the first motorcycle from the company to put the gear shifter to the left and the brake to the right, and as a result was Royal Enfield’s new generation motorcycle. The Electra was powered by an air-cooled 350cc engine which churned out 19.8bhp and 28Nm of torque and is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
