All-new Triumph Street Triple range to have 4 models

The Street Triple is Triumph’s successful middleweight challenger and it is now due for an update . Here is what could be a leaked document revealing the entire new Triumph Street Triple model range and their specifications.

What’s interesting is that there are four models of the Street Triple on the way. Namely, the standard version, the Street Triple R, the Street Triple RT and the Street Triple RS. This matches a buyer’s survey sent out last year asking potential owners about their preferences for the machine and listing some details for the upcoming Street Triple.

The base model features an 110bhp engine with non-adjustable Kayaba suspension and an 115bhp R version with an adjustable Showa kit and radial Nissins brakes. The survey listed an RT variant with 125bhp and touring add-ons including a screen. The top of the range variant was an RS also with 125bhp but gaining Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes.

According to rumours, the increase in capacity is likely to be a reaction, in part, to the significant engine updates needed to pass Euro-4 regulations. While the Euro-4 bit has taken away from the performance of the motorcycle, the extra capacity is to make up for any of those losses.

The instruments come on a TFT screen on the top three models, on the basic bike it’s an LCD unit. Three riding modes are available on the R and the RT but the top-end RS has five riding modes (including ‘Track’) in a similar set-up to the all-new Speed Triple.

The document also reveals that the RT gets a power socket, TPMS system, detachable passenger grab rails, luggage attachment points, paddock stand bobbins and is even going to come with an optional half fairing.

Pricing wise the RS will remain the most expensive with the new RT model coming just below it.
